Hey lovely roses!!! Sorry it's been an exceedingly long ass time since I've been on here. Life has been kinda interesting, and my writing juices stopped flowing. But they're moving again, and more updates will be on the way!! Enjoy!! Until next time,

~Freya~

Zarez's POV:

We're coming home after a long night of patrol. I shiver as the cold winter rain drenches all five of us.

Raph looks over at me. "You cold, midget?"

"It's freezing!!!" I rub my arms, holding my jacket tighter.

Leo laughs. "Yeah, you're going to get colder a lot easier than before. Tends to happen when you're cold blooded."

"We should get out of the rain soon, before we get too cold." Donnie suggests, rubbing his hands to warm them.

"First one home gets dibs on first shower!!" Mikey cries, throwing down a smoke bomb, giving himself a head start, the punk!

"Cheater!!" I laugh, jumping to the alley below.

I rush into the living room. Yes!! I won, I beat them!! "Oh yeah!! I get first shower, I get hot water!!" I allow myself a short victory dance.

"Hate to break it to ya, but... I got here first." I look up to see Raph on the platform over the couch.

I glare at him. "You're a jerk."

He smirks. "Nope. I'm just faster than you." He jumps down, landing in front of me.

I raise a brow at him. "You, faster than me? I'm sorry, but who's the turtle here, you know, one of the slowest animals on the planet?"

Raph laughs. "On land, maybe. Not so much in the water." He pokes my side. "Besides, who just got their ass handed to them in a race with a turtle?"

"Shut up..." I mumble. He tickles me, making me squeal.

He chuckles. "I love your laugh, it's so cute!!"

My face burns. "That so?" I ask, my arms around his neck.

He smiles. "Yep." He leans down to kiss me, when an awkward cough sounds.

We turn to find the others had just gotten back. The boys snicker. Raph and I spring apart, our faces burning.

"You guys have shitty timing." I growl, heading back to my room to grab dry clothes. After Raph gets out, I take my turn at the shower. I turn up the hot water, relishing the way it rolls down my back, warming me. I scrub myself with my coconut soap, the scent relaxing me.

I'm still getting used to being a lizard. I only mutated a week ago, when that bitch Karai pushed the button that released the mutagen. Not only did she create a monster that we had to fight and ditch us, but she also spilled some mutagen spliced with the DNA of a bearded dragon....on me!! So yeah, I really don't like her.

Although, with her mutating me I was able to grow back my right hand. Xever chopped off my hand four months ago, now I have it back. I suppose I'll have to thank her for that...but I still don't like her, at all.

I scrub my spikes that crown my head (it's so weird having spikes instead of hair) and do my best to clean my tail. Yeah, I'm still getting used to it... I hop out of the shower and dry myself off. I rub some coconut oil into my scales, making them shine.

I look in the mirror. My scales are a pale sky blue, indigo and violet-blue markings going up and down my back, legs, and arms. Seven spikes crown my head, the tips dark blue. Around my eyes and forehead is a patch of silver-gray, that also encompasses the three middle spikes on my head. At the base of each spike is a teardrop marking, each a different shade of blue. My eyelashes are more like flexible spikes, a dark navy blue that almost looks black. My eyes are still the same icy ocean blue they've always been. My underside is a snowy white. Under my chin are small spikes. Most of the time they lay flat against my skin, but if I get scared or angry or I hiss, they stick out, my other scales spiking up all over my body, sharp enough to draw blood should anyone touch me. When I'm calm, however, they all lay flat, soft as velvet. I look down at my hands. Instead of five fingers on each, there are only four on each hand. My nails are long and black, more like claws.
