Dunn Khan sat on a hillside, overlooking one of the many sprawling plains that made up Dantooine. He unholstered the Mandalorian blaster and shuffled it around in his hands. The blaster belonged to his father, who had fought in the Mandalorian Wars. It wasn't the traditional weapon of a Jedi. He shared the view that it was too clumsy of a weapon, especially for those of a stronger intellect. He just liked the feel of it. To hold it in his hands, it helped to clear his mind. To think the way his father did.
These plains had been his home for as long as he could remember. Sometimes though, he got the vague feeling that he didn't belong there, and never had. His father was gone; he never really knew him. That blaster was the only thing he had to remember him by. Realizing that he had broken his train of thought, he pushed feelings aside to a deeper part of his subconcious.
He watched as a lone Kath Hound made it's way across the grassy field. They are generally docile creatures. With two long horns, and hooved feet, they are great as guard animals. It made it's way to a slight over-hang where a female and two baby Kath Hounds were laying. They were almost hidden in the tall growing grass.
Dunn sat like this for another hour, meditating on the Force. Such was the Jedi Council's bidding. If there was one thing that they stressed to all of their pupils the most, it was that there was always more to learn about the Force. It resided in all things. Without it, life would not exist. Once Dunn was satisfied, he stood and made his way back to the enclave.
