Reader's POV

I watched as max stood to his feet, grabbing me, and pulling me away from Vincent.

"GET AWAY FROM HER YOU CREEP?!" Max yelled, getting in Vincent's face. I could tell it as getting hard for Vincent to keep his cool. I thought I saw his white eyes flash red, but I'm pretty sure it was just a reflection.

"What do you mean creep? She brought me here!" Vincent spat, slamming his hand down on the table, catching the attention of everyone in the coffee shop.

"Max! Everything's ok. He's just a friend, calm down!" I said, pulling Max away from Vincent.

"Friend?! This dude looks like he's 21?! I don't trust him, we are leaving." Max said, grabbing my arm, and yanking me away. Before I could tell what was happening, Vincent shoved Max away, growling.

I tried to pull Vincent back, but it wasn't gonna help. Vincent was so tense, it felt like he was ready to pounce.

'Or kill.....'

A soft, child-like voice rang through my head. My eyes widened, and I looked around, and there were no kids in the shop. I gulped, watching as Max stood to his feet, dusting off his shoulders.

Max mumbled something, and neither Vincent or I could hear him.

"What was that red-head?" Vincent spat, glaring down at my shorter friend.

"I said, GET AWAY FROM HER!!!" Max yelled, tackling Vincent to the ground. I was right behind Vincent, so I was knocked down as well.

People started to run out of the coffee shop, and others stayed behind to record there fight.

I stood and walked slowly backwards, towards a corner. Once my back hit the wall, a chorus of about 5 children's voices rang through my ears.

'Run........'

'Get out of there.....'

'You have your chance.......'

'Go.......'

'RUN.......'

My mind was clouded by there words, and suddenly, my feet started to move. I went from a quick walk, to a jog, and then I was full on sprinting toward the door, when I finally got in control of my body, Vincent and Max rolled right in front of the door.

I sprung into the air, leaping towards the door. I pushed it open with my hands and landed outside. I then took off down the street, feeling my almost barely touch the ground as I ran down towards the pizzeria.

I didn't know why, I just felt like I needed to go there. I stopped a few feet from it's door, panting, and gasping for breath. I turned, seeing the door, and the inside full of small children. A small smile played across my face, as I a thought of peace passed through my head.

I stood up straight and walk through the doors, a feeling of peace and happiness wrapping around me. I took a deep breath, walking over to the counter, ordered a pizza, and bought 100 tokens so I could play some arcade games. I sat down at one of the booths, and one of the waiter got my drink order.

I ran my hand through my (H/C) hair as I drank my (Favorite Soda). My pizza was soon brought out to me, and I ate it, smiling as I finished the first slice. My mind wandered off to the day I first met Vincent.

'Don't think of him........'

That voice! Why are they haunting me?!

'Go to the back room......'
