Janet was just walking home from Hyde's. She had been there for the last night, and now had to go home to help her father. Down the hill, through the woods and over the small wooden bridge her father built there many years ago, she was already getting quite close. She stopped by the bridge to admire all the fish swimming along the stream. Their scales glimmer was astonishing in the sunlight, as she had seen many times before. After all, it was just a normal Friday afternoon. Janet sat down on the grass and shut her eyes.

She remembered the day she met Hyde. It was a beautiful summer day two years ago, almost like this very day. Hyde's honesty and understanding were just irresistable, and without any warning they were in love. And so they still are to this day.

When Janet finally opened her eyes, she had no idea how long she had been dreaming, but she knew her father would need her at home. So she decided to get going. She got home shortly after, but something wasn't quite the way it was when she left. It didn't take long for Janet to realize that her father was missing.

"He must be outside, maybe in his shack, probably just whittling something." , she thought. Janet went to the shack, only to realize that her father wasn't there either. She started to get worried, and rushed outside. "An old man can't just 'go missing', it just can't be", Janet thought in her mind as she shouted for her father.

It started to get dark outside, but Janet's father was still nowhere to be found. She called Hyde, and told him the situation with a nervous stutter.

"I can help you find your father tomorrow, but it's already very dark outside. You can come here for the night , and we can go search him in the morning." , Hyde explained with a calm voice.

"Yes, I'd love to come! Thank you! It's getting a bit scary here..." , Janet answered. "I'll be there in no time at all!" , she continued. While she knew it couldn't be that bad, she was still afraid to go. What the hell happened to her father? That was the one thought that she had at the moment.

On the other side of the phone, Hyde stared out of the window as the conversation stopped. He saw the moon rising. It was almost a full moon. Soon he started to have this strange feeling, his mind was getting fuzzy and his vision started to blur, as he collapsed on his bed and passed out. He felt himself change, and he knew he wasn't the same anymore.

Janet had just crossed the bridge, when she started to hear strange noises. She wasn't quite sure if they were real or not, they felt so unreal. Like they were coming from all around her. Branches snapping, ravens crying somewhere far away, and she even thought she saw something moving. But that couldn't be true, right?

As she got deeper into the forest she started to feel more and more scared, the path didn't feel that long before. At this point she was certain she saw and heard something almost all the time. It was already very dark, when suddenly she saw two shining eyes in the darkness. She froze on that exact spot, and just stared at the eyes. She was completely paralyzed.

She had no idea how long her and the... the... thing had been staring at each other, but it felt like eternity. She slowly took two steps back, blinked her eyes, and only saw a glimpse of a dark blue figure charging at her, as she felt sharp claws impaling her chest as the monster started dragging her along. She felt herself bleeding out.

And so, the morning came. Hyde woke up, and looked at the yard, as he saw a trail of blood and organs on his lawn. He rushed to his bathroom mirror, and saw his face and hands, all bloody and gored. "What have I done?!?"
