CHAPTER 6 SURPRISE
I woke up this morning arm stiff. I got dress and headed down stairs hoping that my mother did not throw a surprise birthday party for me; yep today was my birthday November, 4, 2012. As I headed down stairs it was quiet, but when I was on the last step there was just my mother and Ashley. I was completely relieved.
"Hey guys" I called to them.
"Happy Birthday," They both said at the same time.
"Thanks well I'm headed to school" I told them as I ran out the door.
Today seemed brighter than other day's .Like I was in for a surprise or something; next thing I knew I was being kidnapped.
"Let me go" I screamed and shouted as someone tied my arm and legs behind my back, put a blind fold over my eyes, and put me in his car.
I was so scared sitting in the back seat screaming my heart out. After a while the kidnapper stopped the car and pulled me into a house. Untied my arms and leg and took the blind fold off me.
"Surprise," Everyone in my neighborhood and school yelled.
"Oh my god," I sighed in relief when Alex took the blind fold off me.
"Happy Birthday," Alex told me and gave me a hug.
"Thanks," I told him.
"Happy Birthday Re Re" It was my brother Erik.
Hey Erik, when did you get here?"I was so surprised.
"Konnie and I got here last night when you went out." How did I not know this?
"WOW" Everyone else at the party came and gave me hugs and happy birthdays.
I was happy to see everyone today. I was happy to see my family together in a whole once again.
"I just want to thank everyone for coming here to celebrate my b-day."I was happy to have the whole room's attention.
"Mom did you really had to make it seem like I was getting kidnapped? Do you know how scared I was? I was petrified."I told my mother as she light my candles.
"Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you .Happy Birthday dear Maria. Happy Birthday to you. Hip Hip hurray." Everyone shouted as I blew out my candles. I was now 16 years old and would be for a whole year. Have to enjoy while it lasts.
After everyone in the neighborhood and at the school left Alex stayed behind and helped clean up.
"You know you don't have to stay and clean up?"I told Alex as we cleared the table.
"I know, but I want to help. Can't have the birthday girl cleaning up all by herself now can I?"He had a smirk on his face as he went to the kitchen.
"What are you doing?"I followed him into the kitchen and watched as he ran some water.
"About to wash the dishes."He answered the question like it was ok.
"No, that's my job. I wash the dishes in this house."
"Ok, whatever you say."He pushes his lips together trying not to laugh.
"So did your really have to tie me up though? Do you know how much that hurt my arm?"I was washing the dishes.
"Sorry I didn't think about that."He apologized in a soft voice.
"It's ok it doesn't hurt as much."I assured "But really you tied me up and put a blind fold over my eyes.
