It was a real cool vibe out tonight. Me, Rita, Dom, and Kev were sitting at Happy Hour hitting the hookahs and having a good ass conversation for real. This was so chilled and laid back, like this is really what I needed to be able to relax my mind from the chaos that consumes it.                            "I'm saying though, it's never surreal for you when people run up and ask for your autograph?" Rita asked Kev.                                                                                                                                                                        "Mannnn surreal doesn't even begin to cover it. I be sitting back thinking like...I'm just Kevin Simon, ya feel me? I literally make music based upon my life experiences and people really fucking with it. The fans don't even know I be feeling honored when they come up to me and here they are idolizing me. I don't think I can ever really get used to it." he said to her.                    "So how is it possible that you all are so humble?" Rita said as she looked over at them and then down at me since she was sitting on my lap.                                                                                                              "So says the girl who could be a model. Rita, I don't know how you sit back and not pop your shit." Dom told her. I loved the fact that D was always one to spread love and positive energy. This is why she has always been my best friend.                                                                                                      "Girl...stop. I'm about to blush." Rita said as she smiled and looked down for a minute.                       "That's a trait all four of us have in common then." I said as I kissed her cheek.                                     "Clearly! Because that day when we were playing basketball in the park, I was like damn I'm really playing with a top ranked player. That shit felt like an honor." Kev said to me.                           "Much respect bro, but you are no slouch. We had to try hard as hell to find an in in that game." I admitted as me and him shook on it. Man...I knew there was no way I could stay on this high forever, I looked over and here was Toya and Paradox walking in. At that moment, I knew Kev saw what I saw and he gave me a look as to ask if I was good and I just nodded. I knew this had to be done sooner or later.                                                                                                                                                   "Yo Dox!" Kev said calling them over and I saw the little hesitation in Toya as they approached.     "Hey what's good y'all?" he said as he came over and shook hands with Kev and he looked over at me unsure of what to do. I went ahead and extended my hand as we shook hands. I don't have no beef with dude for real, we was good in my book. "My apologies, how are you doing hun? I'm Pa..." he went to introduce himself to Rita and she cut him off.                                                    "I know who you are. You've done some of the Open Mics on campus. I love your type of music, almost like a young Wale." she said to him.                                                                                                             "I'm honored to even be thought of in the same capacity." he said as he touched his heart.               "You're welcome! I'm Rita by the way." she said back to him.                                                                         "Pleasure to meet you. I believe you two know each other, but allow me to properly introduce: Toya, this is Rita, Rita this is Toya." he said and I respected how he went about it. Yeah bruh cool with me for real. Kev did promise he wouldn't be weird or anything and I see that.                                "Hello Gorgeous! It is nice to officially meet you." Toya said to her.                                                                 "Thanks Beautiful! By the way you are wearing that dress!" Rita said back to her.                                  "I made it myself, I'm so glad you like it." she said with a big smile.                                                                "What??? I'm surrounded by so much talent right now. I feel like I'm fan-girling." Rita said and I saw the exchange of smiles spread across the table.                                                                                          "I'd love to design for you some time. I'm sure we'll be seeing each other, we will talk." Toya said. "And she is a great a stylist girl. Like will accentuate all the right things." D added onto it.                   "Oh yeah? We'll definitely have to come up with something then." Rita said.                                           "You can always get my number from any one of them and for sure call me." Toya said.                     "Will do!" Rita said to her.                                                                                                                                                 "But y'all enjoy your night. It was good to see y'all and a pleasure to meet you both." He said as him and Toya prepared to walk off.                                                                                                                                 "Likewise bruh." I said and they went ahead and walked off to the other side.                                         "They seemed cool." Rita said.                                                                                                                                         "They are for the most part. I mean as long as there's no bullshit, they won't be on none either." Kev said to add onto it.                                                                                                                                                         "Toya isn't that bad, it's the getting to know her thing, it takes a min for her to completely warm up but she's cool." Dom assured her since Rita didn't know what to expect.                                               "Yeah and Dox is a real chill guy, he's never on the rah rah shit. If anything he's like the one who remains level headed in time of peril." Kev said.                                                                                                      "Same, I'm always the calm one as well." she said.                                                                                                "That's something we all have in common. We be chill as fuck for real." Dom said.                                "If I smoked like you I would always be ultra calm too." Rita said to Dom and we all busted out laughing. No lies detected though, D was definitely the pothead of the bunch.                                      "What?? That's my medicine." she said and we laughed more. "Y'all ever think maybe the weed is addicted to me instead?" she said passively which made it funnier.                                                      "Kev get ya girl." I told him as our laughter died down some.                                                                          "Bruhhh listen I be ready to tap out on the blunt but I don't be wanting to feel like no bitch so I be trying to keep it going." Kev said and we all laughed again.                                                                       "So basically only Tony can hang?" she said and they both just shrugged.                                               "See I'm best friend for a reason." I said as me and D high-fived each other.
