Ugh.
Another Monday to start another dreaded week at this hell hole they call Cherrydale High School. I honestly don't think I can do this anymore. All of the people are either fake ass girls crying because daddy wouldn't buy them the newest color of sparkly uggs, or douchebag guys bragging about how they got laid by some white trash whore. There were very few 'real' people, and because of that, I didn't have many friends. I can't wait until graduation; Finally getting out of small-town USA.
So close.
So close to graduation.
My mind repeated the words like a mantra. I walked in to the plain white-walled class with my head down, concentrating on my phone. I was replying to a tweet that Ryan Abe had tweeted, when I bumped into something hard, yet strangely human shaped. I looked up, afraid that it would be one of the intimidating jocks, but instead saw eyes that I knew all too well from the computer screen.
Is that..? Did I just..?
My mind was going a million miles an hour. I just ran into Jc fucking Caylen. What is he doing here? Why is he in my school? I don't understand. I mean, he tweeted something about a new town, but here? Really?
"Class, we've got a new student." Mrs. Berry said in a monotone voice. And my suspicions were confirmed. Holy wow. Holy cow. What the fuck?
I glanced around and saw that the only open seat was right next to me. The butterflies in my stomach must have been smoking crack at this moment. My heart was beating super fast, and I felt a bit nauseous.
"...Bre raise your hand please." I heard the last of my teacher's statement. I awkwardly lifted my hand and tried not to burst into tears. Jc Caylen. Despite him being gay, he had a fanbase of mainly girls. He was funny, completely hot, and did I mention that he was God's gift to Earth?
"Hi, I'm-"
"Justin Caylen Castillo." I gushed before I could stop myself. I slapped my hands to my mouth, as if I could take back my word vomit.
Way to not be weird, Breana.
"Umm.. Yeah." He chuckled.
"I'm a bit of a fan." I muttered, finally calming down. He grinned a grin that made my heart speed up even more, and held out his hand.
"Well hi." He shook my hand. After he looked away to greet the other person beside him, I instantly grabbed my skin, squeezing with my nails. Nope. I'm not dreaming.

After class, I walked to my locker to exchange my books. As I was entering my combination, I felt a large hand on my shoulder.
"Hellooo." Jc greeted. A smile formed on my lips.
"Hello, earthling." That's a normal greeting, right? Jc raised an eyebrow before tilting his schefule towards me.
"Um, well, where's this class?" He pointed to the white piece of paper and I tried to remember where room 604 was.
"Oh, Mr. Harris. Of course! We atually have that class together.. and all of the other ones, except PE and science. You can just stick with me, if you want." I muttered the last part quickly, hoping that my voice didn't sound as desperate as I was.
"I'd love to." He chuckled, making my heart leap.
"Off we go!" I raised my arm above my head in a 'charge' position, and Jc just trailed after me.
"Off we go," He repeated.
"We must go the other way!" I exclaimed, turning my body, and then letting my 'charge' position fall.

I made my way to the noisy cafeteria, Jc behind me.
"Do they serve anything good here?" He questioned. I couldn't help but let a laugh of disbelief escape my lips.
"Not unless you like gray chicken and soggy burgers." I replied honestly.
"The chicken is gray?" He had a puzzled expression.
"Yes, and the burgers soggy. Keep up Jc." We both laughed.
"Wait.. Are you..?" Ryder questioned. She didn't really watch Jc as much as I did, but she's heard enough about him from me to know how much I love him. He nodded at the red head and let out a chuckle. We walked through the busy lunch line, me grabbing some hot cheetos and a water, him grabbing a spicy chicken sandwich.
We continued to our booth, a couple of girls staring our way. I guess that kind of comes along with the hot new guy being your friend thing.

I walked into last period algebra 2, which I also had with Jc. I was one of the first ones in the undecorated room, and opted for my usual seat in the back corner. Jc walked through the door, and his eyes immediately scanned the room. They rested on me before he weaved his way through the desks, coming towards me. He sat in the empty seat beside mine and then inched his desk in my direction.
"You know, you're the only girl that hasn't hit on me today." He chuckled, making me raise one of my lightly filled in eyebrows.
"Well that's because you're hot." I said quickly, under my breath.
"What was that?" He had a smirk on his face, which caused my face to redden.
"I said that that's a shock." I added a small smile to make it seem reassuring.
"Also, none of the guys have made fun of me. Guess I don't seem gay?" He suggested in a playful tone.
The funny thing is that he really doesn't. I was astonished when he released the video explaining why "no, I'm sorry girls, but you may not have my babies." It was also slightly disappointed, but at the same time I didn't think I'd ever even meet him, much less actually be sitting in class with him.
"You really don't.." I voiced my thoughts, making him chuckle before turning back to the front.
After the lesson, he rotated back to me.
"Can I borrow your phone after the bell rings? My mom is supposed to be picking me up today, and mine is dead."
"Oh. Yeah su-." I started, only to be cut off by the bell itself. I made a gesture to the ceiling and pulled my iPhone out, unlocked it, and handed it to him.
"Thanks." He smiled, typing in a number and making a call.
After a brief conversation that I didn't hear much of, he handed it back with a smile on his face.
"Here ya go."
"Oh. Thanks."
"For what?"
"What?" I wasn't used to people questioning my thank you's.
"You said thanks.. But for what? Thanks for giving your phone back? It's so weird when people do that."
"It kind of is.. I never realized that. Like... Why am I thanking you for bringing my phone back? It's like I was expecting you to steal it or something."
He laughed and nodded, before speaking.
"I'm not a criminal, I promise."
We both got up and made our way to the door of the classroom.
"So, where is your mom picking you up?" I questioned.
"In the front, by the flag pole. She said she might be a little late though."
"Oh, I'll walk you out there if you want. I walk home, and I go that way anyways."
He nodded and started to walk through the hallways towards the front. We passed many kids, all of them seemingly excited to be done with school for the day, much like myself.
