Chapter 4

I choked, "Dinah, baby." Was she really doing this right now? Are you serious?

"After all we've been through, you tossed it all away by cheating on me. I just think it's better this way."

Before I could reply, she left. Just like that.

My eyes started to burn from the tears that were falling out of my eyes and my heart felt wrenched. It hurt like shit.

I should just go inside.

I compose myself as I checked myself out in the mirror, making sure I didn't have any stray tears left and I didn't look like a fucking mess.

I slam my car door shut behind me and made my way towards the restaurant. Once I entered, Dinah gave me a sad look which made me want to roll my eyes but I resisted. I sat next to Normani and it was really awkward. Normani picked up on it and tried to make a conversation.

She cleared her throat, "How long have you two been together?" I shifted in my seat uncomfortably. Normani glanced towards me and widen her eyes.

"We've been together since high school." Dinah's voice sounded strained as the words came out.

" Yeah I remember, you told me that." Normani nodded.

I sighed in frustration, "I need some air. I'm gonna go." Before I could leave, I felt my wrist being pulled back.

"Stay." Normani said softly. Her eyes were full of adore and it made my heart melt. Somehow with one touch, she made me forget all about Dinah and it was just us two lost in our world. It was a long stare down until someone coughed us out of our trance.

"I'll see you later." Normani loosens her grip and I give her a small smile before I leave.

I get into my car and I pull out of the parking lot. As I drove, I sped up a little then needed. I was so angry at Dinah but I really shouldn't be.

Although Normani....

I felt my feet push onto the gas pedal harder and before I could notice, a car drove into my car causing my car to flip over. I felt the car spin and crash against the ground.

Then everything went black...
