Powers

7 am
Tessa woke up first as she was the early bird in the group. She decided to check if the electricity was on yet. She was going to make the girls toast. She walked into the kitchen. She placed four pieces of bread into the toaster. She pushed down the tab, it clicked into place, that meant the electricity was back on. After she had buttered all ten pieces of toast she took the stack of toast into the room and woke the girls up.
"Good morning everyone, wake up I've made breakfast. We've also got a busy day ahead of us"
Ivy and Will were the first ones up. Then Char woke up. Last to wake was Hailey.
After they had eaten their breakfast they all sat in a circle and began to discuss what was going to happen today.
"Right. Hailey you can research into the whole power and magic thing. You can help her Ivy, me Char and Tessa will go in the back yard and find a area out of site and try and find out what Tessas power is and try and get Char to start a little bonfire, also if you guys find anything important, text me! I don't wanna wake my mum up" Said Will.
Ivy started to research on her phone. Hailey got Wills laptop and started to look up powers. Will lead Char and Tessa near the shed. It was surrounded by trees so no one could see what they were doing.
"Ok Char try and get this fire started. Remember concentrate. You ready?" Will asked.
Char nodded. She pointed her finger at the wood. Tried with all her might to make her power work. She just couldn't make the fire appear. After ten minutes of trying she had exhausted her self that much she felt dizzy.
"Will I need to sit down. My body is totally drained after that."
"Ok! Sit down on the bench I'll go get you a energy bar, while I'm gone Tessa, you try and see what your power is ok?" Will asked
"Yeah ok sure" replied Tessa
"Ok so my power is air... I'll just try and do stuff with the air, that's how I'll find out my power" Tessa said out loud to herself.
Will walked back with a few energy bars. She thought they would be needed today. She sat next to Char and gave her a bar, while Char ate the bar Will asked her a question.
"How did you get your power to work?"
"It was when the wax hit my hand, it was really hot and hurt a hell of a lot, my body must have just automatically responded" replied Char.
Tessa was currently thinking about a mini twister. She was trying hard to create one. She pointed her hands into a corner and tried to create a mini twister. She succeeded. She managed to make a mini twister around ten inches high appear and travel around the area they were in.
"Look you guys! I'm doing it! I'm using my power!" Tessa said excitedly.
Char and Will looked over quickly. They were both amazed at what they saw.
"Woah that's amazing! Now you know you can create mini twisters! You both just need to learn how to control your powers and how to make them strong" Said Will.

Ivy and Hailey hurried outside.
"Ok. So. One second let me compose myself. Right, so me and Hailey saw this article on someone claiming they had magical powers after touching an object that was pulsing. It says he was visited by a alien type creature off a planet called phantasm, and this creature what visited him was Xioma, it goes into great detail and about him and his interests but not much else on his powers or the creature or planet, oh and it says later that he was put into a mental institute because his family were worried for his well being after they read the article" said Ivy
"It sounds a lot like our thing apart from we haven't been visited by a creature only the glowing rock" responded Will
"Yeah I think his story was true because the facts he put in the article are so familiar to ours is he still alive?" Asked Char
"I don't know. It was published 30 years ago and when it was published he was around 40 or a little older so I doubt" replied Hailey
"Even if he was alive it was in Africa so there is no way we could travel there to talk to him anyway" said Tessa
"Oh yeah good point, and even if he was alive there is no guarantee he would even want to talk to us" said Will
"Well now we know there has been someone else who got these magical powers, there is probably more but it's hard to find stuff on the Internet, most of it was selling stuff to try and get magical powers" said Ivy
"Yeah so it's good we kinda have an idea of what to expect. Anyways Tessa found out that she can make mini twisters, so that only leaves you two and me to try and find out our powers" said Will
"Well we can try and get our powers to work now? Said Hailey
"Yeah we can swap roles since me and Tessa are drained after using our powers we will try and find more stuff out about powers and how to use them!" Said Char
They all agreed. Ivy and Hailey tried to find out what they could do with their powers while Tessa and Char researched. Will was still trying to find out what her power was, she knew she was the magic holder and the one that allowed the girls to transform, but transform into what! She wanted to know what she could do, when all the girls were either asleep or at home she would look more into her own power.
Ivy was trying to get her power to work. She was concentrating on a patch of grass that didn't have any plants growing. She imagined a yellow tulip. A stem slowly started rising from the ground. It started to form a head, the head opened to reveal a beautiful tulip.
"Oh my gosh. Guys. I just made a plant grow, I'm so happy" Ivy said gleefully
"I can't get my power to work" huffed Hailey
"Try concentrating on that little puddle! Try making the water do a little wave like the sea does" said Will
Hailey nodded, she stared at the puddle. She imagined the sea and how the waves looked, suddenly the water in the puddle started to tremble and move a tiny bit. Suddenly the water moved in a wave action. Hailey smiled as the water did as she was making it do. She stopped.
"Wow I'm so happy I did that! Thank you Will for helping me use my power!" Said Hailey. So now all the girls could use their powers apart from Will they went inside and helped Char and Tessa find more information.
"Guys I found something out" said Tessa
They all gathered around her computer.
Tessa read "UFO spotted in the sky, moving at great speed. It's unknown to where the item landed"
"On the video it looks like the thing we touched... Do you think that's what it was?"asked Will
"It could be! There has been nothing on the news of anything comets or anything like that near our atmosphere" said Hailey
"Guess the rock was from out of space then"said Will
They all looked at one another, they knew that the story of the alien sending the rock was true as it's happened to them apart from them being visited.
"I wonder when we'll get a visit! Do you think the alien thing will visit us when we're together or separate?" Asked Char
"I don't really know, I would have thought it would be together so then we can all be told what the situation is and why we got chosen" replied Will
"If you all agree I think we shall stay at someone's house again together so if we do get a visit we are all together and we'll be safe!" Said Ivy
"I agree, I'm sure we can stay at mine again, we already have the room sorted, I'll just go ask my mum ok?" Said Will
The others nodded their heads.
Will went to ask her mum.
"I'm so nervous! What if we get a visit tonight... We don't know if they're dangerous or anything really" said Hailey.
"I know that's why I think it was a good plan to stay together" said Tessa
Will walked back in and told them her mum said it's fine that they all stay.
"Shall we go get something to eat it's rather late, all the looking on the computer took so much time" said Char
They decided to look for something to make for themselves.
"I can make a pasta meal, we could have pasta and cheese and then I've made food for my mum too so then she won't need to cook for herself later on"said Will
"Yeah I could totally eat pasta and cheese!" Said Ivy
So they agreed on the food they were having. It was made within half an hour. They eat all the food apart from the stuff which was saved for Wills mum.
"Ok we're done shall we go back to the back room?" Asked Will.
They all agreed. They made their way to the room and started to get ready to sit in their sleeping bags.
"Ok so shall we put on a film, maybe Nemo?" Asked Hailey
"Yeah ok! We should put mean girls or white chicks on after that!" Said Ivy
They all agreed they would watch them three, by the time they had finished Nemo it was nearly nine, they put on mean girls. Char was the first one asleep. Then Tessa fell asleep. They put white chicks on. Ivy fell asleep as soon as the opening scene started, Hailey fell asleep towards the end of the film. Will was wide awake. She decided to put on Shrek. It was her favourite film. When it was nearly finished Will heard a noise in the garden, she also saw a flash of light. She checked the time it was 1:34 am. She woke the other other girls and told them about the noise they decided to go outside together and investigate what it was.
