Chapter 16: Even more presents and Secrets

Chapter 16

Harry's POV

I held out my hands to her, but kept the box covered.

I'm a cheesy lad. She had to expect me to do something cheesy.

When I had told her that I had a present for her, her eyes lit up like a star.

I knew she was going to think it was cheesy, but she'd secretly love it.

I had selected a baby pink box that was in the shape of a heart and the locket was in the same shape.

When she finally saw the box, she playfully slapped my arm and teased me about it not being Valentine's day.

I pushed the box into her hands and replied, "Just open it!"

As she slowly opened it, I grinned at her. Why was he taking so long?!

After it was fully opened, she pulled out the necklace I very carefully picked out for her.

"Harry! You shouldn't have!" she said, with a pleasant look on her face.

"But I wanted to," I assured her. "Look inside!"

When she looked inside, I told her, "So that I will always be with you when I'm gone, whether it's on tour, or I'm just not with you."

She quickly told me, "That's so sweet Harry. But you didn't have to put the picture because you are always in my heart and on my mind." She leaned in to give me a kiss. "Thank you. I love it. Let me go get your present. Be back in a few!"

As soon as she left, I told Mrs. Payne "Merry Christmas."

"Merry Christmas to you too Harry. Call me Diane," she said, as she warmly smiled. "I want to thank you for coming into our lives. I have never seen Raedriana so happy since the de- passing away of her father." she stuttered.

"I am glad I met her. I don't ever want her to be sad. So I am glad that I have made her happy again," I said, pride in my voice.

"Harry, you are everything Rae wants in a boy and I think you are perfect for her."

"Thank you Mrs. Payn- Diane."

She smiled and nodded, as Rae came down the stairs.

"Harry, I'm sorry if you don't like it. You are bloody hard to shop for. Since you probably already own everything..." she droned off.

"I'm sure I will love it if it is from you," I reassured her.

I quickly tore open the present to see that she got me cologne and an amazing new David Beckham signed football (for all Americans, it is a soccer ball)

"Rae! This is awesome! How did you get it signed?"

"It is a secret, but lets just say he is a family friend. And the cologne is because I don't want you to run out of that amazing smell you have."

"I won't now, just for you," he said, kissing me on the cheek.

"Ew, Harry! Don't you know girls have cooties?!" Zachary asked.

"Oh my gosh, you're right! Disgusting!" I said, wiping "Raedriana germs" off my lips. But when he turned his head, I kissed her one more, this time on the lips, just for laughs.

"Well now that we have opened all the presents, why don't I make a good Christmas morning breakfast!"

"Oh, let me come help!" Rae shouted.

"Of course babe," I smiled back.

When I walked to the kitchen, I overheard Zach say, "Rae, is Harry going to be like Alex?"

Wait... Who is Alex? Did he hurt Zach? Or worse, did he hurt my girl?

"No bud, Alex was not a nice person. Harry is very nice."

"Good, I didn't like Alex."

"Neither do I Zach. Neither do I..."
