Why, in all the years, has nobody noticed? People were there. People died during it. People aged, and changed because of it. Everything changed because of it. So why are people now walking the streets like nothing ever happened?

I thought about this once, a long time ago. And I couldn't figure out for the life of me why. I investigated so much, but nobody seemed to be doing the same.

Nobody ever bothered; it seemed to tell me that. Thinking about it now, I realize how wrong I was.

The clocks kept going that very day it changed, and the sun still came up, and set. Granted, it may have been going the opposite way, but it still happened, nonetheless. And people still went on with their lives, talking backwards, and doing so as if they have been for years. An they slept in the daylight and went out in the darkness, never seeming to notice that that wasn't right. And the lilies and roses bloomed dead, and lived on and nurtured until they were just a seed in the ground. And so the process kept going without anyone's acknowledge. Money had no meaning, neither did God nor glory, and the crazy were happy, and the mentally stable were in the nut house.

It was a impossible thing, yet I could not deny the facts as they were right in front of my face. I must go now, Lelia, my granddaughter, is done making my tea.

Until we meet again,

Lane E. Crossbow
