I am
Survival, sexuality, stability.
When I was born, the first thing I did, after I discovered air, was take a breath. At the time, I couldn't have explained why I did it. I just knew I needed to. I guess I had the right idea, because since then I haven't stopped breathing. It's the gentle give and take, feeding the steady rhythm in my chest, that drives my body.
Here, I am a machine. I manufacture my own reality. I am in touch with my physical desires and dependencies. This is where I feed; my origin; a secure platform from which I can leap to explore my own body in order to realize my most basic needs.
The first touch I ever knew was my mother's. Her bonds with me gave me all the fuel I ever needed to keep my body moving forwards. I guess, in a way, she still does. Although less and less so as I grow older. Still, all I know is what I have inherited. Now, I long for physical bonds with more beings. I know that I need the collaboration between mine and theirs to keep more bodies moving forwards. Expanding, at their own pace, towards their own fulfillment.
