'But daahaadd' I yell when he leaves my room. This argument isn't over yet and I follow him downstairs. He is in the kitchen with mom. Yes!, I think, with mom here, there is no way he'll say no. You can't...., I start. Damn well I can, says my dad as he turns around. You can see he is a little pissed. He never gets pissed, I guess he can't afford getting pissed when he is the CEO of a big company. Even though I am not sure which company it was again. Not that it really matters. It's not like I am going to see a lot of the world anyways, they never let me outside. Dad, I start again, this time a little more careful. I am 17 now, almost 18. I got homeschooled for as long as I can remember and I can't see a glimpse of daylight without a big bodyguard by my side, don't you think it is a little ridiculous to make me stay inside for the entire summer again?! I am sure even mom agrees with me, don't you mom? It's true honey, she says to him, you can't keep her inside for the rest of her life. Yesss, mom is on my side, this just got a lot easier. Fine! says dad as he uses way too much force to put his glass down. I'll think of something, but don't get your hopes up. Yaassss, I scream as I jump up and do a happy dance. Thank you dad, I kiss his cheek, thank you thank you thank you. I run upstairs, close my door, put on music and start singing along. All the family members say I got a beautiful singing voice, but I think they just say it, because they have to. I haven't got any friends, so I can't ask them and it's not like the bodyguards like a talk. Before I know it is dark outside and it's getting late. Well, time for bed I guess, I say to myself, I hope dad has something by tomorrow. With that thought I fall asleep with a big smile on my face. This is the first summer I am going to be spending outside this house, I almost can't believe it!

I wake up, way too early ofcourse and go downstairs. Like I expected no one is awake yet. I look into the fridge and see some leftovers from last night. Ah screw my diet, I say to myself as I warm up some leftovers. I have been eating healthy and going to the gym for years, I deserve these leftovers. With the leftovers and a big glass of water I go over to the living room. There it is, the giant TV. My favorite part of the house. I guess sometimes it is a good thing my dad is an important man. Else we wouldn't have this beauty in our living room. I don't know for how long I have sat there eating and watching TV, but I finally hear someone coming downstairs. It is my mom, she says dad is coming as soon as he is done showering. I am so excited about this, this is going to be it, I can go outside! Easy says mom, your dad told you not to get your hopes up. Who cares, I say with a big smile, I get to leave this place, that is enough for me. It took way too long, but he is finally done and comes down. He sits there, eating his breakfast as I sit across from him smiling like an idiot. Do you need something? He asks with the biggest poker face I have ever seen. If I need something?! I say startled, I thought you were going to finally tell me what you came up with?! Ohyeah that, he swallows his bread and continues: You know how my company 'does business' with boy and girl groups? Yea I know that dad, you explain that to me like every month. Your company trains them, they make their debut and then if they are lucky, they become famous. That's how you could call it dear, so you know my company has boy and girl groups and I am going to pick one of those groups to babysit you during this summer. Baby.....babysi.....babysit?! Babysit me?! I am 17, almost 18, how dare you dad?! Babysit me, tssskk. Dear, he starts, you are my only daughter, so let me say this once: as long as I say it, they are going to babysit you, so deal with it. Fine, I say even though I do not agree. What day is it, my dad asks me. I don't know, Friday I think...? I look at the calendar, yea it is Friday. Allright, you are coming with me to the company Monday. Make sure you are ready to go around 7:15 in the morning. Pfff, 7:15 in the morning is way too early, I sigh as I let myself fall down on my bed, But at least I get to leave the house. I wish I had friends to share this news with. While I am in my room, my parents talk about me in the living room. Are you sure this is going to work? My mom asks my dad. Yes, I am 100% sure. They will look after her the very best they can, whether they want to or not, because I am the CEO and if something happens they are in much much trouble. But......mom interrupts him. No honey, there are no 'buts', I totally agree with you now. We can't make a nun out of our only daughter, she has to make friends and be social and I think this is a safe way to start this. If you say so and mom sips her tea. We will see what happens, as for now she is very excited to just leave the house.
