Temptation

Daddy and Me

  I fumble over and over through my closet to find what to wear. At last, I find a dark blue/purple dress that falls off both shoulders and is above my knees with silver flats. For some reason, I m nervous. Maybe it is because I want to be good for my dad who knows. I know how hard it is for him to adjust, just like me. So I m going to be good for him. I put on a silver heart necklace with diamond earings and go downstairs.

"Am I good?" I ask my dad who is there with a Black button up shirt with sleeves up to his elbows and light blue jeans with shoes. My dad,Henry, is in his late fourties but still has good looks to him.

He looks me up and down and smiles, "Beautiful" is all he says.

He grabs the car keys and heads out while I turn off the lights and lock the house. We step into his 2005 black escalade and drive off.

"Dad?" I say slowly.

He lowers the volume on the radio, "Hmm?"

"Are you nervous? I mean, that your meeting someone new and stuff?" I say to him.

He thinks about it for a little bit then answers, "Yes and no. I mean, we run into new faces all the time" he shrugs and continues "This is who I am. You included. If they don't like it then...oh well"

I smile. My dad always knows what to say.

After a good 15 minute drive we arive at a egg shelled colored house about twice the size of our home!!! We look at each other then back at the house. We both know what we are thinking. HOLY SHIT!

We get out of the car and walk through the trail that leads to the door, I step back so my dad can ring the door bell.

We hear a man's voice say , "Coming" foot steps get closer to the door and then it slowly opens.

I look down to fix my dress, when i look up, my jaw pratically falls off my face from what i see!
