"Ugh!"
Delilah muttered slamming her head into a clay wall.
She was never fond of having to do chores, especially when her sister went hunting and left her to do them on her own. She stood back up straight and pushed her brown hair that had fallen in her face, behind her ear.
Delilah was 18, and was a Elinicus. Elinicus look like humans, but are what you and i would call werecats, only they can change whenever they want. They live on the planet called Elin, Its similar to earth just not so much water, and more trees.
Delilah continued to hoe the garden, she had slammed her head on the wall surrounding the garden keeping out any unwanted visitors. She had begun to sweat heavily under the suns heat, deciding to take a short break she changed into cat form and started licking her fur desperately trying to cool off. Her fur was that of a bangled cats, only instead of gray it was a cream color. She had always been made fun of for her fluffy tail, and cream colored fur. She could not blend in as well as the other kids with their dark colored fur, but her stealthiness made up for it. She turned back to human and continued working.
"Hey sis! Check out the squirrels i caught!"
A voice called out.
She walked out and saw her sister returning from hunting. She was holding a string of scrawny squirrels with a wide grin on her face. Delilah returned the smile and nodded,
"Im gonna take a hunting break too okay?"
Delilah asked taking a step out of the garden,
"Alright, But be back quick!"
Her sister replied walking into the house.
Her sister was Diana, she looked almost exactly like her but in cat form they looked completely different. Delilah took off running towards the woods beside the town, morphing as she went. When she got there she slowed down and scented the air for any squirrels, or rabbits. "Thats weird."
she thought, she opened her mouth once more and caught the strange scent again. It was rare she didn't know what something was, she decided to follow the scent. She had been following the scent for about 3 minuets, when something caught her eye. It was a deep blue, and looked like a box. But it was huge! She cautiously walked up to the front of it, sniffing it as she went. It had a strange smell to it, looking at the top she read: "Police (public call) Box" in black lettering.
Delilah could hold her curiousness no longer, she stood on her hind legs putting her front paws on the door. It opened big enough for her to sneak in, she trotted in quietly. Her eyes widened at what she saw, It was gigantic! But how was this possible?! She clearly saw it was a little box on the outside! She was so mesmerized by how big it was, she didnt even notice the man and redhead standing in the middle of the room, at some type of table thing. Once she finally noticed them, her tail fluffed out and she ducked into the shadows. She snuck back over to the door and tried to push it open, but it wouldnt budge!
"Oh look Amy! Its one of the Elinicus!"
Delilah heard the mans voice behind her, she spun around and backed into the door.
"Its alright, im the Doctor and this is Amy. We're not going to hurt you."
He said bending down and outstretching a hand with a warm smile. He patted me gently his touch as if he thought i would brake.
"But Doctor, thats a cat."
Amy said with a confused look,
"Oh, Amy the Elinicus is more then a cat! They are also human!"
He explained,
Almost on Que. Delilah changed back to human, The Doctors grin grew even wider as he stood up looking down at the now fully human Delilah sitting on the Tardis floor, staring up at the Doctor with a startled look.
"Sooo a werecat?"
Amy asked.
"No! Well......yes....sort of!"
The Doctor replied
He crouched back down to me,
"So whats your name?"
He asked wonder in his eyes as he looked me up and down.
"De-Delilah"
I stuttered still a little shocked.
"Delilah! Brilliant!"
He said standing back up offering me a hand, i took it hesitantly.
"Well, shall we go see the town?"
The Doctor said opening the door and walking outside. I shot Amy a questioning look, she just shrugged and followed after him.
