Madele's P.o.v:

I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off, I didn't want to get up but if I didn't I knew I would be late for dance practice. I slowly got out of my nice soft twin sized bed and stepped onto my cold bedroom floor. I walked to my wardrobe and put on a tight pair of jet black jeans, a purple and black pierce the veil shirt, my black and white vans and a few wrist bands. After I was dressed I  walked into the bathroom and did my hair and makeup, then ran downstairs and grabbed a quick snack. I heard my brother Matthew wake up and I ran out the front door and continued to run down the sidewalk to the dance studio, while I did this I thought of how close Matthew and I were before Madison was born, and a tear quivered in my eye. I wiped it away as I approached the Dance Studio and changed into my dance outfit which consisted of a pair of black stretchy shorts and a white cropped tank top, Then waited for the class to begin. As people started to show and get ready, I began to see shadows outside the windows surrounding the studio and shrugged them off, but pushed my paranoia to the side as I danced.  Once class ended, I decided to check out the shadows but they were gone, I wrote it off as my imagination and then went back to get dressed and gather my things. As I was leaving the dance studio I could have sworn I saw another shadow almost like it was following my every move, Once again I shrugged it off and Began walking back up the sidewalk that I ran earlier that day, still feeling as if I was being watched, to my discomfort still no body was any where near me. As I approached the stairs to my front porch I felt a dizziness and shivers as if something or somebody was staring into my soul, my existence. I could tell something bad was going to happen when I would open the door, Because of that I decided to sit down on the top porch step to gather my composure before I began to open the front door in front of me with the key I always left under the welcome mat. Right as I walked in my brother Matthew slapped me for making a mess in the kitchen. I didn't actually make the mess, he just accuses me of everything that goes wrong in his life. I cleaned up the mess and ran up stairs, slammed my door closed and locked it. I layed on my bed for what seemed like hours sobbing, cuddling my pillow that was soaking wet at this point from the tears that I didn't realize were falling on it, I heard from outside my mom's car beep and lock, I wiped my tears away with the pads of my small fragile thumbs and made my way down the stairs to unlock the front door for her. As she walked up to the house I could tell she had been crying, her eyes puffy from tears that she was trying to hide. Normally my mother and father carpooled to work, he was no where in sight and I began to feel that same feeling that I had earlier before I opened the front door. My mind didn't even think before the words left my lips.
"M-Mom where's dad?" I asked concerned. She tried to answer the question but she just stood there as another singular tear left her eye.  I just hugged her tightly and let her sob into my shoulder. "Mom where's dad!?!" I asked again this time I felt tears starting to form in my eyes.
"D-Dead, Madele, honey Dad is Dead. I'm so sorry baby, I knew how close you two were." My mother Meredith answered as calmly as possible but in a small panic as if the news just hit her again.
"Dead? H-How?" I sobbed
"He was found outside his work building near the woods murdered, someone stabbed to him to death." My mother told me at this point hysterically. My knees felt weak like I couldn't stand, My back slowly crept against the wall as my legs gave out, I sat there on the floor and just sobbed my eyes out, after my brain finally processed what was going on, all I could do was run up the stairs and into my bedroom. I sat on my bed for what seemed like hours and just cried. my little sister Madison came in after a while and asked what was wrong.
"Maddie not now please!" I shouted at her a little to harshly for a 6 year olds delicate sensitivity. All Madison did was run out the room sobbing to Matthew, I ran after her and grabbed her arm, a little too hard. All I heard was snap! then Madison screaming-I had accidentally dislocated her shoulder. Matthew ran upstairs to Madison and I, when he realized what happened he punched me in the chest.
"You fucking slut! What the hell is wrong with you? I'll fucking kill you!" Matthew threatened, He picked up Madison and gave her to our still sobbing mother. Our mother took Madison to the hospital  as she did so she left me alone with Matthew. Once my mother and Madison were gone I heard loud foot steps coming from the stairs and to my bedroom door that was locked, so I quickly hid under my bed. Next thing I knew I heard a bang! Matthew busted open my door and was destroying my bedroom to find me, it seemed like he calmed down a little but all of a sudden he flipped over my mattress and box spring and ripped me out from under the bed. "I told you I'd fucking kill you, do you really think I was going to let you get away with hurting Maddie?!" He screamed in my face. He put his hand around my throat and slapped me with his other hand. He held his hand around my throat until my vision started to darken, I couldn't breathe, I couldn't speak and at this point I was so oxygen deprived that I could not move. "No one loves you anymore, dad is dead he was the only one that even actually cared about you!" He said as he picked me up by my throat and threw me on the floor of my bedroom. While I was down trying to catch my breath, Matthew started sobbing, in an explosive rage he kicked me in my stomach hard, I could feel blood filling my throat. Matthew sobbed even more his cheeks now soaked in tears, he ran out the room and slammed his bedroom door shut. I got up slowly my head spinning, and began sobbing. After a few minutes I wiped my tears away and grabbed a huge bag from out of my closet and started packing things I might need. I grabbed clothes, a few pairs of shoes, a pocket knife that my dad gave me for my birthday one year, some family pictures of parents and I, and packed it all into the bag. After everything was packed up I just sat down with my back against my now broken and messed up bed frame and sobbed, rocking back and forth with my head on my knees.
"I'm sorry mom, I'm sorry Madison."  I cried out until my heart broke more "I-I'm sorry Dad!" I eventually got a hold of myself and Then I slowly crept down the stairs to the kitchen, trying to stay quiet to not draw Matthew out of his room again. I put cans of food and granola bars into the bag and also a few bottles of water. I slowly opened the front door and ran towards the woods near my house  and kept running until I didn't know where I was. I must have ran for an hour, for miles. I ended up getting lost in my thoughts. I wouldn't be sorry for Matthew. Never again. He'd gone too far. I wanted revenge, but I wasn't strong enough, so I did the only thing I could and ran
I had nothing anymore except the few things I packed with me, I had no one... only myself.
