"Tia! Come here!" My dad yelled from downstairs.

I ran down the steps. Careful not to trip.

"Yes dad?" I mumbled while grabbing a apple from the fridge.

"I'm going to have to go on another investigation..." Dad whispered while going through some file.

If you're wondering,my dad is a police detective. He always goes away on investigations that some times takes month.

"Oh. Well what's the investigation?" I asked while sitting next to him and taking the file from him.

"Ah some kid named Jack Gilinsky. He is 19 and is on the run. And appears to have been for awhile."

"Hmmm. When do you have to go?"

"This evening."

"What? Dad! You just got home!" I screamed tears filling my eyes.

"Kitten I'm sorry bu-"

"I get it. It's your job." I said while running upstairs to my room and calling my boyfriend.

"Hello?"

"Sammy baby? Come pick me up. Please."

"So your dad is going on an investigation?" Sam asked while running his hand up an down my thigh.

"Yeah... I just hate that he is always gone..."

"Well maybe you should at least say bye to him."

"Your right... Thank for making me feel better babe." I said while getting out of his bed and kissing his cheek. I went and grabbed my close and put them on while leaving.

"Dad?" I yelled while going into my house.

"I'm in here kitten." I heard him yell from the living room.

"You're leaving now?"

"Yep. I'll be back soon enough for a break." He said while hugging me.

"No... Mom... Mom!!"

I shot up faster than I ever had before... I had another dream about my mom...

My mom died 2 years ago. She was helping my dad on a investigation and got shot. But honestly,I feel there is more to the story that my dad isn't telling me.

I got out of my bed and ran downstairs. I ran into my dad's room and started searching.

I wanted to help my dad with this investigation. And he always keeps a copy of each file in his room.

I just need to find it.

"Jack Gilinsky..." I whispered under my breath as my fingers searched the room.

"Found it!"

I opened up the file and saw his records and a picture of him.

He was actually kind of cute.

He had dark brown hair,thick eye brows,and a sharp jaw line.

I ran back to my room and opened my laptop. 

I typed in Jack Gilinsky in the search bar,and found a bunch of stuff.

I found out he was on the run with 1 other boy.

Jack Johnson.

They had recently just robbed a few stores in Omaha and look like they are heading for LA.

They are also suspected for a murder.

I quickly closed my laptop.

I ran to my closet and got out 2 of my duffle bags. I ran around the room packing in what ever I would need.

My dad is smart,but I really don't think he found any of these things.

I ran to my car and put my bags in.

As I was driving I decided to stop by Sammy's house.

I ran up to his door and rang the door bell.

"Ye- Tia?" Sam asked alittle shocked.

"Hey listen,I'm going to be gone... For awhile..." I said putting my head down.

"What? Why?"

"Because I... I can't tell you... But I'll be back sooner then you will think..."

I looked up and saw Sammy had tears in his eyes.

"It's cause of that case your dad has isn't it..." He asked while a few tears fell.

"How'd you-"

"You have always been a curious and adventurous person. Since we were little... That's why I fell in love with you..." He whispered.

I had a small,yet sad,laugh.

"Here. Uh. Hold on I'll be right back." Sammy said before running into his house only to come back a few moments later.

"Take these." He said while showing me two of his guns. His dad gave them to him for protection.

"You know how to use them and everything from when I taught you." He said while handing them to me.

I took them from him and smiled.

"Be safe baby girl. Please." He whispered while kissing me.

"Always."
