Spencer POV:

After waving goodbye to a suspicious Nate, Stiles and I stared at each other in clueless wonder.

"So what are we supposed to do now? Just walk in and say hey guy that controls my future, I think you're killing people, so can just stop that. Oh and will you not kill me either? Yeah, fucking great!" Stiles muttered sarcastically.

Walking over to him, I patted his shoulder "Let's not jump to any conclusions here. Maybe someone else used his computer...." I stopped and rubbed the bridge of my nose with my other hand "Let's do some research, then we'll go to his office".

"Dad always said three was pattern....damn it!" He muttered as he made his way to the clues.

I sighed and cracked my knuckles. Sitting down with my laptop, I said "Looks like we have another mission Batman".

I could hear Stiles smirk as we went to work.

Stiles POV:

Two hours later and I had nothing to connect the Dean to the murders.

Glancing over at Spencer, I watched her type furiously into the computer screen. "Found anything yet? I called out.

"He was a student here. He played...basketball. Graduated in 85' with honors and DRUM ROLL PLEASE...he's a Capricorn".  she said with heavy sarcasm.

Rolling the chair around to face me, she uttered "What did you find?"

I sighed and tossed the clues over to the side "Not a damn thing".

She chuckled "This is all very helpful Stiles"

I glared at her before rubbing my eyes. I hadn't realized Spencer had moved beside me until she put her hands on my arms, massaging circles into them.

Laying her head on my shoulder, she remarked "We'll figure it out just like we did before".

I balled up my hands and moved my head to lay on them. Staring straight ahead, I let out a groan "I'm just tired of finding bodies" I grumbled.

"I get it" she replied from my shoulder "But it's like you said, we have to try or nothing will get done". I felt her smile "Besides, we wouldn't want all your heroic ranting to go to waste".

I smiled, looking back her "I did not rant".

She chuckled, tilting her head up to look at me "You did actually. It was something out of a comic book"  A humorous glint behind her teasing eyes.

"Are you seriously mocking me?" I asked

Her smile widened "I like to think of it more as banter between to roommates"

Leaning into her "Well, you know what else roommates do?"

Inching closer, she responded "Share clothes?" Pretending to check me out, she said "I think, I might have a t-shirt for you"

I smirked and flipped her over to her back.  Her eyes shot up in surprise, her smile still finding it's way across her lips.

She laughed "What are you doing?"

I hovered over her and smiled down at her "So what were you saying about my ranting?"

She chuckled "Maybe you misheard, is all that optimism clouding your brain?' she commented beneath me.

As I went to respond, a loud knock fell on our door. I flew off of the bed, straightening out my shirt before opening up the door to find Elliot, who had his hand raised in a knocking position.

Seeing me, he smiled "Hey! I wanted to see if you wanted to go practice..." he began, then he saw Spencer sitting on my bed.

His smile turned into a smirk "...Or maybe I should come back?"

I glared at him as Spencer's phone buzzed.

"Auron just texted me, so I have to go anyways" she said throwing on a pair of shoes. "Be good boys" she said smiling at Elliot, making a point not to look back at me.

Elliot admired her retreating figure as I grabbed my lacrosse stick. I rolled my eyes and hit him on his arm, knocking him out of his gaze.

"OUCH!! Why did you do that?" he exclaimed

I smiled bitterly at him "Give me a second to change" I said, slamming the door in his face.
