My New Life, And How I Got It

     "Ash-i'm done dealing with you. Lani and i are going to move to New York! IM DONE SO DONE WITH YOUR CRAP"

     "you can't do tha-" The sound of his voice sickens me. 

I get up to go tell Lelani the news, She doesn't like it here. i know she doesn't. She hates her dad, he is rude and inconsiderate to her. I don't know how she does it.

     "Lani honey, can i come in?" **knock Knock** 

     "yea mom" she says, she sounds tired and unhappy.

     "so your dad and I had a big talk. We are moving to New York City, Your aunt has invited us. Your pre-enrolled, and I will default to my baking skills and own a bakery. we are getting a divorce. I know this is loads to take in but-" I look up to see her face completely changed. she is a whole new person now.

     "Mom, this is great. I can't wait we wont have to deal with dad and everything will be wonderfull. When do we leave?" she asks. 

     "Well we can leave in five days, your aunt asked for a five day heads-up. so start packing- i'll check on you later." Then I walked out of her room and went to go pack my things

I can't believe it. I'm going to new york. I can get away from my dad. FINALLY. 

I hear a knock at my door. 

"come in mom." I say ecstaticly.

"I just spoke to your aunt, we can leave the day after tomorrow. She wants to know if you can start school on Monday. We arrive on sunday at 11:10 am."

    "sure mom. That works!"
