The Pol- “Pilot”
Girl. (Walks into a dorm room.) Claire? (She walks into another room with three beds. Claire is in one of them.) Claire, wake up.
Claire. (Groan.)
Girl. (Hits her with a pillow.) Get up!
Claire. Flo! (She sits up, eyes still closed.) You don’t have to wake me up at… dawn! I don’t have a class today. My schedule is cleared. (She lies back down.)
Flo. (Looks at her watch.) Hey, Claire?
Claire. What.
Flo. It’s Wednesday, and it’s noon.
Claire. (She opens her eyes.) I have a class in fifteen! (She runs into the bathroom.)
Flo. (Smiles.) Hey, where’s Liv? She wasn’t here when I got up this morning.
Claire. I’m not her keeper! (From the bathroom)
Flo. Well, you should be. Liv?! (She walks through the rooms.)
Claire. Obviously, she is not here.
Flo. Don’t try and make me feel dumb!
Claire. I think she went to her sociology pre-course exam or something like that!
Flo. Yeah, I mean I heard her say something about that, but I didn’t think it was today.
Claire. Well, how was your class?
Flo. Easy. It’s foreign language! I don’t understand why they don’t just make it an individual study.
Claire. Spanish or French?
Flo. NO, I’m taking Foreign Language, as in ALL foreign languages.
Claire. OH! That makes so much more sense now. So you weren’t speaking Spanish on the phone yesterday?
Flo. Nope, that was Mandarin.
Claire. Oh.
Flo. Well hey, don’t be late again! I’m going to go grab something to eat at that new Tea Shop!
Claire. Food at a tea shop?
Flo. They’re bound to have some kind of food at the tea shop! Bye! (Leaves.)
Claire. (Screams.)

San Francisco Courthouse…
Judge. Olivia Reines is called forward.
Olivia. (Stands, slowly, walks to the witness stand, and sits down.)
Judge. May I remind you that you are still under oath?
Olivia. (Nods.)
Judge. What do you, on behalf of yourself and the victim’s side of the crime have to say about Josh Reynald’s Parole?
Olivia. Well, I, uh. (Looks at Josh.) I have nothing to say.
Judge. (The room is quiet.) We have assessed a quick recess. People of the court will return in the courtroom at 12:35 for due processes.

Tea Shop…
Flo. (Walks in, and sits next to a guy.) Hey, Rod!
Rod. (Watching a scary-looking man.) Yeah, hey Flo.
Flo. Do you have any reason in particular that explains why you’re leering at Easter Island man?
Rod. I’m working.
Flo. Well, working what?
Rod. That “Easter Island” man you’re referring to is being hunted down by the CIA. They think he’s a double agent.
