Pretentious rich people. That's all I saw as I entered the Plaza Hotel. There was only a few guests lingering in the lobby waiting to enter the Grand Ballroom but none the less they were high up in societies charts. They were all dressed in diamonds and pearls that were for sure real, and gorgeous gowns and sharp tuxedo's that would rip my account up and swallow it. I knew it was early on in the evening but more guest would be coming soon, so I rushed to the stage and started to setup the equipment. I plugged in the microphones and the Guitars before making my way over to the piano. The Piano was my favorite instrument and the Cello was my next favorite. The piano was a baby grand and had a beautiful shine to it. I lifted the lid and propped it up before stroking the chords.

"We have to get dressed bee." Austen said while walking of the stage.

"Yeah, I'm coming." I answered back before closing the piano lid and following him into the hotel room where we were to get ready.

After about 20 minutes of doing our make-up and hair we entered the ballroom again only for it to be filled with lingering guest all chatting about. It was me, the singer, pianist, and Cellist, my best friend Alejandro back-up singer and pianist, our new band newbie Jamie the guitarist(all types), his girlfriend Erica the violinist, my guy best friend Austen the Cellist and guitarist (all types), his little sister Carly the back-up singer and Saxophonist, and David the drummer.

We all walked back on stage to perform for the night.

If you haven't guessed already, we were somewhat of a band but we played almost all types of music. We have been playing for about two years now and we are pretty good if I might say, but enough of my thoughts let me get back to work.

The girls wore black while the buys wore white and it just seemed to flow. I stepped up to the microphone and readied to start the first song.

The first instruments I heard were the piano and the drums before I heard the guitars. And then I started to sing.

"Gravity... is working against me...and gravity...wants to bring me down.

Oh I'll never know, what makes this man, with all the love that his heart can stand.

Dream of ways to throw it all away...woah oh, gravity... is working against me..."

We song about three more songs after that one which seemed to turn out perfectly then we started to play just instruments.

It was like that for the rest of the night sing some songs than play the instruments, sing than play, etc.

At the end of the night when the guest started to filter out of the room we all received a very steep pay check from a woman who said that we sounded fantastic and will call us if she has another event that she'll need us at.

We packed our things in the van and left for a very late dinner. We wanted to leave the hotel so fast that we didn't even bother to change so it was a little weird seeing as we were all going to an inexpensive diner in such formal clothing. So after we ordered we changed into more comfortable clothing. After we finished we split the check and headed our separate ways. Most of us hopping in cabs and heading home and Austen and Carly driving the van to their place.

When I arrived home I was greeted by my beautiful German Shepard, Boo. He was just a great dog well behaved and protective. My place was quiet basic cozy furniture warm lighting and 1 bed 1 and a half bath which wasn't bad at all for $680 a month in New York.

I showered put on some underwear and a larger than usual shirt before hopping in bed and settling in for some sleep but just as I was about to fall into deep sleep it had to be messed up. My gotdamn phone...I know I didn't say it like everyone usually does but I really don't like saying god's name in vein.
