"I'm sorry I didn't mean to play anything, I was just looking and I got a little carried away." I admitted standing from the bench.
"It's okay you're really good." He told me.
"Thanks. I have to go." I said walking past him down the hallway to the side door leading to the back. They were nearly done taking down the equipment when I reappeared outside. I put the microphones back into their respectable places before closing the lid.
"What's your name?" I turned around to see the stranger I had met before in the room with the piano.
"Anonymous." I informed him before I turned back around to take the microphones back to the van. The man met me at the end of the stairs and took the case from me.
"I'll help you take it." He said and I nodded before taking the mic stand that was sitting at the bottom of the stairs.
He followed me to the van and helped me load the rest of the stuff into the van once we finished my brother got into my car and waited.
"My name is Andrew Hamilton by the way." He said holding out his hand.
"Nice to meet you." I said taking his hand.
"You too." He said smiling at me while still grasping my hand softly.
"Bee let's go!" Ryan shouted from my car.
"I'm coming!" I yelled back.
"Can we go out sometime?" Andrew asked.
"I don't think so." I said before pulling my hand out of his grasp and turning around and heading off to my car.
"What was that all about?" My brother asked me.
"Just a man being a man." I told him.
"So what exactly do he do?" He says sounded a bit defensive.
"Don't get all 'big brother' on me." I said smiling and turning the street to my apartment.
When we entered my apartment I rubbed Boo's head and put some food in his bowl before heading to my bedroom to shower.
Once I finished I headed to bed with Boo at my feet. I woke up to the smell of eggs and bacon. I washed up and put on a pair of jeans and a tank top before throwing my hair up into a messy bun.
I walked in the kitchen to see my brother cooking breakfast and talking to someone on the phone. I walked up to him and asked him who he was talking to and he said dad.
I turned around and sat at the bar. I hadn't seen my dad since I dropped my brother off at his house three years ago. I don't even know if I really have a right to call him my father. He doesn't even know I'm his.
My mom had sent me to meet him when I was about 16 years old and when I saw him with his big family they looked perfect and I knew I couldn't ruin that so I just returned home an hour later saying he didn't want to see me. After that my mom became so distant with me, she would work more shifts at work when we didn't need the money and she would close herself off from me and the day I turned 18 she told me I had two weeks to leave her house. I had left in three days.
My brother and I met a couple of months after I was kicked out. He had seen me standing outside of my dad's house that day and we've been inseparable ever since. We're even closer than he is with his real siblings which is a major surprise to me but I really like his company.
My father probably doesn't even want a girl with a house full of boys and it would be awkward to be there anyway even though my brother wants me to meet him but I forced him to promise me that he wouldn't. Say a word to our dad about me...I also promised to meet him when I was ready.
