I just sat staring at the raindrops racing down the car windows, my stupid younger brother sat impatiently beside me. The car journey seemed to last hours before it pulled up alongside the little countryside cottage that belonged to the Moore's. I could see little Sam's face light up, this was his dream house, it was medium sized, and it resembled a dream cottage, like the ones in fairytales he used to read. "Its perfect" he said, his eyes sparkling, but I knew better then to get my hopes up, there's been to too many houses before this one, there's been too many people take us in, only to then throw us back out again. That's the thing about living in the social services system, it destroys you, it makes you see the worst in everything, and everyone. Expect Sam, he always sees the silver lining, he always see's the  goodness in anyone he meets. I don't, I can't at least not anymore. You see trust is like a piece of paper, once you crumple it up once, it will never be the same again.
