Noah

Time is of the essence.

My life won't go un lived.

I want to be remembered, celebrated.

I want to be known for taking risks.

"Noah!" I hear my name being called, and I recognize the voice as my mother's.

I check my watch; 5:30.

Dinner.

Tossing my phone on my bed, I leave my tidy room and run down the stairs, sliding a bit on the hardwood floor as I hit it. I see my mom and my sister waiting at the table, and a pile of spaghetti on a plate in front of my seat.

My seat, kiddy corner the one at the end.

"My favorite." I say, "Thanks for dinner mom."

She smiles at me and I nod in response, redirecting my attention to my sister, Lily.

"Hey Lils, how was piano lessons?"

"It was fine."

Six years old and full of charm.

Dinner carried on with pleasant conversations. I helped my mom with the dishes then climbed the stairs quickly.

I laid back onto my bed.

Where was I?

Oh yes.

Being adventurous.
