"Seana can I come in" my brother Jayden asked while walking through my bedroom door.
"Why not, I mean no privacy needed" I say stuffing in so much sarcasm it probably came out over dramatic. My thought was verified when my brother rolled his eyes and took a seat on the end of my bed. why couldn't people tell when they are unwanted, I mean really everything in life would so much easier.
"Your so dramatic CeCe" He said calling me by my childhood nickname while flopping back on my bed trying to get comfortable, why I really don't know because he wasn't invited in and it was time for him to get out, like now.
" Are you done unpacking already" I said trying to get rid of him asap
"Yup" he said popping the p, while trying to fluff the pillow beneath his head. We had just moved to Pittsford, NY coming all the way from California and I in no way wanted to be here.......at all. I had to up and leave all my friends and family at the end of the summer to be here in time for school. I wasn't really scared being new and all but one thing was for sure I would definitely stand out and it wasn't because I was a over achieving dork or anything. It was because of my dark chocolate skin and long curly brown/black hair if you know what I mean. I have absolutely nothing against other races its just that, that's what set me apart at any school I went to.
"Need any help" he said as he looked at the boxes with wide eyes.
" Yeah I guess I was waiting for Mom to change her mind about staying here" I said still hoping that she would, its been three days and I missed Cali already and desperately wanted to go back.
" Hey I know you don't want to be here, but please make it easy on mom she's doing the best she can and you know it." I sighed in defeat I knew she didn't want to move but Cali held way to may memories for Mom so we had to move. The move had to be even harder on her, because she was a business women who proudly owned a few companies, including a law practice which was her main focus and the best place for it was..... yeah you guessed it Pittsford. This all meant that we were well off but if that couldn't keep a family together then what would.
"I know" I said looking down at my hands mentally noting that I need a manicure before the first day of school." Well if I have to stay here, minds well make it home right" I said breaking the silence and trying my best to stay optimistic, while putting on my million dollar smile.
"Right" my brother said mirroring my image while returning the smile. Then we went to work and within two hours my room was unpacked it was 8 p.m. and we were exhausted. I mean a sweaty hot mess and we were both sprawled out across the floor in my pretty large room, which was painted a light green. I was about to ask Jayden if he wanted to order pizza when the door bell rung loudly through out the house. Forgetting that my Mom had to stay in Cali a few more weeks to get everything straightened out I lied there expecting her to get it when the doorbell rang a few more times. Dang this person was persistent.
"I'll get it" I said standing up and walking toward my bedroom door and stopping dead in my tracks. We didn't know anyone in Pittsford so who could it be. "Could you come with me I said turning around to face my brother. He opened his eyes with an annoyed look on his face.
"Why" he hissed and then he took in my worried expression. "Scared lil' sis" He said as his face turned up in a smirk.
" Just come on......please" I said giving my best pouty face, which I guessed worked because he stood pushed past me and headed down the stairs with me following close behind. And the doorbell rang a few more times, I told you this person was persistent.
"Stop ringing the dang doorbell I'm coming" my brother growled while grabbing onto the doorknob and yanking the door open harshly. When the door was fully opened a brown haired boy, with beautiful blue eyes and a quite toned body was standing there with something in his hand. While I was checking him out he must have been doing the same because when our eyes met, my brother being the subtle person he is cleared his throat to break the silence.
"Um..... if you guys are done checking each other out can I please ask you to what do we owe the pleasure this visit" he said making the boy redirect his attention towards my big headed brother, breaking our intense gaze.
" Sorry man... um I'm your new neighbor, Adian" he said sticking his hand out for my brother to shake. My brother took his had ( thank god) but gave him the my sister is unavailable to you look.
"Hi my name is Jayden, and this is my sister Seana" He stated flatly my brother could be over protective at times which tended to piss me of especially when he ran the cute ones away. Adian glanced at me and quicky diverted his glace back to my brother.
" um... my Mom wanted me to bring you this." he said scratching the back of his neck and looking at the ground while my brother took the tupaware container out of his hands. My brothers scowl turned into a huge smile and his eyes got brighter than a little kid's on Christmas. Food was his weakness and could redirect his mood in a matter of seconds. My brother handed me the tupaware container and snatched Adian into a tight man hug.
"were going to be grate friends " He said in a cheery voice still hugging Adian. About minute later Jayden let go and Adian's face went red.. I mean tomato red. And he looked at me questioning what just happened.
"You brought him food" I smiled and we all burst out in a fit of laughter.
