It was still dark outside when Joey stirred, straining his eyes against the darkness. He didn't dare move, feeling someone lying next to him. An arm was curled around him, and a broad chest that felt warm was pressed against his back, rising and falling with slow, tired breathing. He'd dreamt about something that he could no longer remember; although, it certainly hadn't been all too pleasant. He'd been mildly startled upon waking up, and a little confused. Well, after observing his surroundings, he became even more confused. Trying to move away, he was unable to stop himself from crying out in pain. A feverish rush of fire seemed to crawl through his veins, from his thighs up to his lower back. The person behind him moved, sitting up.

"Sore, are we?" Kaiba questioned. He wasn't exactly much of a heavy sleeper. It was 4:23 in the morning. He'd gotten enough sleep, as they'd lied down rather early the previous day. Joey blinked slowly, maneuvering his head so he could see a bit behind him. It was still too dark. Kaiba solved that problem by turning on a bedside lamp, which illuminated the room. Covering his eyes with one hand, Joey winced.

"Kaiba? Why am I here again? Did I get hurt?" The boy mumbled tiredly, slowly adjusting to the light. Kaiba chuckled, shaking his head. Joey could only see part of his upper half, having a bit of difficulty with the angle.

"I suppose. . .that's one way to put it." He stated suggestively, an amused grin finding its way onto his face. His brown hair looked a little messy, but he appeared strangely pleased. Joey began to piece a few things together. He was nude, in Kaiba's hotel bed, and, sore. Not to mention, tired. A few blurred memories reached him, making his face heat up. His eyes became as wide as saucers, and he skittered off the bed, yelling when he hit the floor. He felt pain pulsating every time his heart beat, and groaned, currently immobile. Kaiba suppressed a loud laugh, hopping off of the bed. Finding his clothing, he slipped on a loose pair of pajama bottoms, afterward walking across the floor.

Staring down at the sore form lying on his stomach, he crossed his arms. "Would you like some help?" He asked. Joey obviously needed it, but, most likely would deny that fact. That was simply in his nature. There was a few seconds of silence. His face was flushed of color; he wasn't comfortable with the current situation. Still, he didn't want to be stuck on the floor.

"I. . .guess so." He mumbled, burying his face in his hands. Shaking his head, Kaiba decided that he wouldn't get anything better than that. Leaning down and wrapping one arm around Joey, he lifted the other up with ease. Draping one of the male's arms around his shoulders, he walked Joey to the room's bathroom, sitting him down, and running a bath of hot water. Steam clouded the room's mirror, covering it. Joey eased himself into the water, insisting that Kaiba look away from him.

Sighing softly, he closed his eyes for a few lingering seconds. The memories became more clear, aside for a slight filmy appearance to it. Frowning, he opened his eyes. Kaiba was staring at him, raising a brow. "I think I should head out soon. . ." Joey muttered, despite the aching in his body. Kaiba rolled his eyes.

"A one night stand then."

". . .What?"

"We slept together, then you hate me once again and you're on your way."

"Wait, no--"

Kaiba laughed, shaking his head. "As if I care, Wheeler. Leave whenever you want; I don't give a damn."

Joey frowned, about to speak when Kaiba left the bathroom, leaving the door partially open behind him.
