Hazel lived in London during the early 1900’s. Ever since she was five Hazel had been collecting buttons. Thirteen years later Hazel finds herself in an old antique shop where she discovers the button her father and her had been searching for since they started the collection, it was the button off queen Victoria’s robe, the gem to there collection. For months Hazel worked her hardest to raise enough money for this button, every day she would go to the antique store, just to make sure it was still there.
War bound London caused everything to change, and eventually her father left, off to fight in what soon became world war 1, his only wish was for that button. Hazel worked harder, desperate to grant her fathers wish and eventually she had enough money to buy the button. Hazel excitedly ran to the store where she discovered the button had been sold.
Luckily enough the devastated girl caught the eye of a kind hearted young boy who worked at the store. Offering his help, Hazel and the boy work together to not only to find the button, but to find themselves, and a lot of buried secrets along the way.
