"Kill Lucas Grey."

"What?"

"Ms. Woodmore please pay attention when I am speaking to you," my instructor Mr. White sighed rubbing the bridge of his nose. "I said your task is to kill Lucas Grey before the summer ends."

"Oh yes, sorry Sam," I mumbled as I put my head in my arms avoiding eye contact with him.

"Ms. Woodmore I advise you to call me by my work name, please. It is very inappropriate for a student to call their instructor by their first name during work hours," Mr. White scolded me.

"You take the fun out of everything sir. What am I supposed to do around here if I'm not having any fun?" I asked crossing my arms like a child.

Mr. White smiled and shook his head. "Well you are here for a reason aren't you?"

"Yeah, I guess so," I said slouching back down in my seat. "So how do I kill this Lucas guy then," I asked just wanting my session to end.

"There's a room downstairs where you can gather the items you will need. But you will also be working with a partner, for safety issues." Mr. White said.

"Partner? Sir, if I may remind you I do not work well with partners," I informed him raising my eyebrow.

"Yes, I know. But I expect you to work well with your partner, we wouldn't want an incident like last time now would we?" Mr. White said his back turned to me.

He was looking out the window watching something below.

I looked down to my lap as my mind went back to the events of last time I tried working with a partner.

I could almost smell the smoke of the fire and see the blood spilling out of inoccent people surround my feet.

I quickly shook off the thoughts and my face turned back to it's original blank phase. This was no time to be thinking about that.

"No sir, we wouldn't," I said trying not to choke on the dryness of my mouth. It had been a while since someone has brought up the subject.

"Good, now your information needed for the case is in this file."

Mr. White slid a small red colored file towards me. It wasn't a sand colored one like the other files I usually got.

I opened the file and a paper fell out onto my lap. I picked it up to reveal it was actually a picture. I flipped it over to the front.

There was a man walking across the street in a black suit, wearing sunglasses that hid his eyes. In his left hand he carried a dark briefcase and in the other, brightly colored flowers that seemed to shimmer in the day of light. I guess it was sunny that day but he looked to be in a hurry.

He looked very rich dressed up. I wondered where he was headed.

"You will be working with Agent Chase McCollum. I'm sure you two have met before. Chase!" Mr. White called him into the room.

"Sir!?" I whispered shocked he would do this.

"Yes sir?" Said a deep voice.

A large man about 6ft walked into the room. He was tanned with beach blonde hair and was dressed in a striking black suit that matched his aura. His intimating green eyes met mine and I shivered in my seat.

I wish I had the task of killing him instead.

"Can you please take Ms. Woodmore to the weaponry room downstairs? She has been given the task for the killing of Lucas Grey."

Chase lifted his eyebrow at Mr. White before his gaze swerved back to me. He looked me over before standing up straight again.

"Of course Mr. White, anything for you," he said smoothly before turning to walk out of the room.

I was paralized in my seat. How could Mr. White do this to me?

"Are you coming or are you just going to sit there like a dog waiting for orders?" Chase scowled at me.

I turned to look at Mr. White but he seemed unfazed by the way Chase was talking to me, still looking at something outside.

I glared at Chase but stood up and followed him out of the room I was sat in moments before.

I speed walked to keep up with Chase and his long strides.

"Could you slow down you large cow!" I called out to Chase. But he kept the pace he was at.

"Did you even hear me? I said slow do-"

Chase paused in his spot and turned to face me so quickly, a cool breeze was carried with him and brushed my face. The breeze smelled of mint and shampoo, it smelled like him.

He stopped so suddenly I barely had time to pause as I almost bumped into his chest.

He leaned down until he was face to face with mine.

His breath hit my face.

He reminded me of a dragon just before it was about to eat a sheep.

"Just because we're working on a case together doesn't mean we're friends Autumn," he said.

I swear I could see the steam coming from his nose.

"I never said we were Chase," I glowered, "why would I want to be friends with someone like you anyways."

I bumped his shoulder as I walked past him. I could find this weapon room on my own. I didn't need his help.

"Good luck finding the room on your own," he smirked, "Even if you do find it, I still have the key."

I stopped mid-way down the hallway. Damn him and that stupid key.

I looked back at him. He was smiling smugly while holding up a key.

"Give that to me," I demanded trying hard not to punch a wall.

"Now why should I princess?" Chase mockingly said to me.

He leaned against a wall admiring the key like it was made of gold.

"Damnit Chase just give me the key!" I yelled.

"Whoa, don't need to be so load princess. Maybe if you ask nicely I'll lead you to your destination," he offered.

I scoffed, "Yeah, like I need your help. I can find my own way to the room just give me the key I'll be fine."

"Alright, I didn't want to have to do this," he sighed shoving the key back into his pocket. He started to walk over to where I was standing.

"What the hell are you doing," I asked backing up. I couldn't go far because I'd backed myself into a corner.

When he got close enough, he wrapped his arms around my waist and swung me over his shoulder.

"CHASE PUT ME DOWN!" I screamed pounding my fists into his back and swinging my legs up and down.

"I would stop if I were you princess, wouldn't want to flash anyone would you?"

I blushed a deep pink and stopped swinging my legs. That sneaky bastard.

"Chase just put me down!" I pleaded.

He kept walking not paying attention to me or the people staring at us.

"Great," I whispered, "more humiliation."

This is going to be an interesting task.
