Don't Stop

- chapter 1 -

'carmen!!' i hear behind me. i turn around en see my best friend Hailey running towards me. 'Carmen, Carmen, Carmen!! there are new people on school!'she yells overenthusiastic. 'so?' i yell back sarcastically. Hialey looks at me with her "i hate you face", but then laughes. 'they're boys, Carmen you have finally a chance to get over quen-' 'don't you dare say it!' i interrupt her. 'sorry geez. i only wanted to help you...' ' it's okay' i say and i hug her. 'but i have to go. i got no class next hour, i can play piano at the music class... to you know prepare' 'already?' hailey asks suprised. 'yeah it's  a tough exam you know....well bye' 'kay byee' Hailey says and i walk to my locker. i unlock it with my key and i put my bag in and my take my phone out. after a little while i hear screaming coming from he corridor. i shake my head when i see there's a group of boys being chased by girls. i can't see their faces, but they seem cute. i've never seen them in school. but whatever. i close my locker and walk down the hallway to the music classroom. there's nobody. only me and some instruments. i sit down at the bench of the piano i play my etude and play it over and over. the audition for my music school is almost. i only got three months left to have ready a piece on piano, one singing and one on my guitar. i start the piece that i gotta perform as my singing piece on my piano. i guide myself at this. it's a beautiful song i think.  "parachute" from Laura marano. the lyrics is just amazing. after i song a while a boy runs in, locks the door and hides behind a wall. i look at him and he looks scared of something. after two seconds a crowd runs past the door window. i just ignore it and sing further.  i can't play with him, i'm not ready for anyone hearing it so far.  i stop playing and look at my hands, which are resting on the keys. 'don't stop please, just keep doing what you're doing'the boy says from behind me. i look around and see him standing behind me. 'you...you're  calum. right? from 5SOS?' 'jup' he reply's. 'keep playing, please. you're amazing' i laugh nervously and start playing my songs. appearently he knows it because he starts singing along with me. it feels amazing someone who is so good at what he is doing, tells me i'm good at what i'm doing. my high pitch matches perfectly with his low voice. the last note of the song comes out of my mouth. 'that was amazing....you're really good' 'thanks' i say shy. 'you want to do another song?'he asks. 'do you play more?' i nod and i start playing "amnesia" by well them. i start the lyrics and everything just dissapears around us. it feels like i can do everything. when we finished the sing i stand up of the bench. 'what are you even doing here?' i asks calum. ' i was getting chased you know, girls on this are crazy' 'well thanks' i laugh. i walk to the cupboard and put my music back in there. 'haha not every girl' he jokes. i turn around he is again standing behind me. i turn again and grab my own written music out. i hold it between my arms when i walk to the door. 'wait wait' he says when he grabs my arm. 'when will i see you again asks. i shrug and at that moment three other boys walk in. one with rainbow hair, the other one with a lip piercing and the other with a bandana around his head. out of shock i drop my music. i feel my head turn red and i bend over to pick it up and walk out quickly. i walk down the halls with my head down, my head is flaming red. i don't want anyone to see me right now. next class is maths. i teake out my bag from my locker and run to the closest bathroom. i look in the mirror and see that i'm not as red as i thought i was. i take a deep breathe and walk out. the next two classes were just the same as they normally are. after that i just take my jacket as normally and drive home as normally.

at home i run upstairs and jump on my bed. i don't usually have homeowork because i do everything in class. i just put on my speaker and music and scream along with evry song. i fall down on my bed. i just can't get Calum out of my mind. i want to, but i can't. and that i just bumbed up to the other memebrs of 5SOS, is just unbelieveble. at diner i am extremly quiet and my mom knows everything about me. but i don't even know what's going on myself so i decide not to tell her. after diner i return to my room. i open my laptop and play some music.  'i think about you, every morning when i open my eyes. i think about you, every night when i turn out the lights' . the lyrics really somes deep to me. and i just stare at the ceiling, when my mom walks in. 'sweetie...is there something wrong? you can tell me everything' i nod. 'i just...i...i met this boy today...Calum...and...well...how did you know you were in love woth dad?' i ask. i see tears filling up in my moms eyes. my father died 5 years ago. i was 12. 'you feel this special feeling in your stoumach when you see him and always think about him' see answers. i nod and she hugs me. 'you want to be alone huh?' she asks. i nod and she leaves my room. the only thing i can hear is the sound of rain softly dripping on to the roof. i fall asleep by that sound.

'don't stop please, just keep doing what you're doing'the boy says from behind me. i look around and see him standing behind me. 'you...you're calum. right? from 5SOS?' 'jup' he reply's. 'keep playing, please. you're amazing' i laugh nervously and start playing my songs. appearently he knows it because he starts singing along with me. it feels amazing someone who is so good at what he is doing, tells me i'm good at what i'm doing. my high pitch matches perfectly with his low voice. the last note of the song comes out of my mouth.
