Chapter 3

Abby's POV

After two more boring periods it was lunch. I walk to my table with my phone and my brown lunch bag. I sit with Connor who is the only one here atm.

"Ayyy Connor" I yelled.

Had gave me a disgusted face and looked back to his food. I laughed and Angie and Braxtyn came and joined us we had small conversations until someone tapped on my shoulder.

I turned and saw Hayes.

"Oh I totally forgot I'm so sorry" I said while standing up.

"No no your ok let's go somewhere more quite" he suggested.

"Okay" I answered.

He took my outside on the field where not really many people go. We were all alone and we started walking. We bounced around ideas until we decided on what to write about.

"So where do we meet up for this?" I asked.

"Uh we can meet at this ice cream place after school get some stuff to eat then head to my house if that's ok?" He asked.

"Yea totally" I answered.

We walked back to cafeteria while having small talk. I didn't know Hayes was a football player with Connor or that he loved dirt bikes. He also gave me his number. We walked up to my table and I turned to him.

"We'll see you later" Hayes said.

"Yea" I said.

We both turned opposite ways and I took a seat at my table. I started eating my food and felt eyes on me. I look up and see everyone frozen and looking me dead in the eyes.

"Do I have an eye booger or I'm a just so gorgeous you guys can't stop looking at me?" I asked with a laugh at the end.

"You know who that is right?" Angie asked.

"Hayes groffin I'm pretty sure" I questioned.

"Hayes Grier and his brothers Nash Grier they are like famous" Braxtyn said in a duh tone.

"Oh well sorry I don't fan girl over boy like him" I said taking a bite out of my sandwich.

The rest of the day went on and it was over soon. After school I called my mom.

Mom~ hello

Abby~ hi mom I am going to a friends house to do a project

Mom~ how are you getting there and who's house

Abby~ I'm walking with my friend and his name is Hayes

Mom~ it's a he?

Abby~ yea mom a male not female

Mom~ is this something I should tell your father about or keep it on a down low

Abby~ mom I just met him we were pared up in class now we are going to this ice cream place to eat and start off then his house if that's ok with u

Mom~ yea yea I'm just joking enjoy bye

Abby~ bye mom

The thing is my dad doesn't allow me to have boyfriends I think there dumb in elementary and middle school so I never snuck behind there backs for one. Now that I'm in high school maybe I will.

My thoughts got interrupted by Hayes running up to me.

"Hey you ready? We're walking cause it's like a couple minutes away" he asked.

" I'm ready and ok" I told him.
