Where I Stand

To the Dystopian future that may emerge from our troubled society one day

I have evolved as a person from a course of many actions

Death, love, friendship, betrayal

These turning points in my life all lead up to where I stand today

Now amongst friends who will last me a life time

Right now amongst a family split into two; my mother's and father's side

I started from the bottom

And worked my way to the top

From being shy to careless

I now face any situation that threatens to hurt me both mentally or physically; head on

There are those who say that facing my problems this way is like playing with fire

But the fire inside of me is what keeps me alive

Overcoming the hardships in this tainted world,

No matter what people say, this slightly corrupted world is my home

The demons that haunted me before are long gone

And I rise above those who made me spill tears not even worth the matter anymore

To the troublesome and obnoxious people who go against me, and will one day be thrown my way,

This is my fairy tale I chose to live in

With this fairy tale I block out harsh realities that choose to pierce the veil in my consciousness

And to the lost souls who live within this reality that do not know where their place in this world is,

The universe is a limitless place

Emerge from the shadows and chase the light

Find where you truly belong

May it be that one day your destiny lies with you becoming married, pregnant or wealthy...

Right here and now, search for the place where you will one day stand

To the people that challenge me,

Back away, because I won't ever lose to the likes of you

One day, I believe I will be the Eve to his Adam

But for now I patiently await the final decision of fate itself to place me where I really and truly belong

But in this moment of here and now,

In my high school years,

Now in this point of my life where I am deciding on what I want to do with my life,

I have decided to perceive all my hopes and dreams

While overcoming the hardships that threaten my sanity,

I proudly state today that I have decided to bear the crown of burdens upon my head

Moving people's hearts with my hand written words

My personality as a whole?

Reckless, loud, and obnoxious

No matter what the future may hold

I have undergone many dramas in my theatrical life

So I challenge the future to even dare try to stand as an obstacle in my way

Whatever the cost, I will overcome every hell-like threat that tries to trample me over like a crossing field,

This is the path of neither the warrior or the Demon I have chosen, but my very own

And this... is where I stand today
