Dying is easy, living is the hard part. Trust me, i'd know. My name is Asher Flynn, i'm 17, and there is not a single good cell in my body. I was made to self-destruct. When i was four years old, my father died in a motorcycle accident. A semi-truck ran a stop sign and killed him instantly. He wasn't a good man anyways, constantly drunk and hitting my mother and I. He was pure evil, and so am I. When i was ten years old, my mother fell asleep in the car and hit a tree, killed instantly.  I suffered a broken arm, and a concussion, but what came after was the real suffering. Twelve different foster homes, four different group therapists, one prescription for anti-depressants, a failed freshman year, and finally an adoption. So now, here i am, 17 years old a junior in highschool, living in the middle of no-where USA, and this is my life.

I peeled the blankets off me as i rose from my bed on my first day of school. It's early september, the weathers not hot, but also not cold. I've officially been adopted and living here with my new "parents" for two months. Doreen, my new mother is a crafting freak. Constantly sewing, knitting, crocheting, building, making her "DIYS", she practically lives on pinterest. And my new father Jeff, living a cookie-cutter American family apple pie life, with a perfect wife, perfect daughter, perfect job, he's the CEO of some major corporation, and then theres me. The crumbled piece of this cookie, that i now call my "Family".

I quickly hopped in the shower and let the hot water run over my body, reminding myself only of the doom that was to come in two hours. When i got out i threw on black skinny jeans with some tears in them, my favorite pair, a My Chemical Romance band shirt, and a red and black flannel. I threw on my black converse and ran down the stairs to the smell of pancakes in the kitchen. See, "perfect" family? My new sister Claire was already sitting at the table scarfing down her breakfast, she's fourteen, in eighth grade, and guess who has to drive her to school? Me. She's (as i would put it) an annoying little shit, but (as my new mother would put it) a fourteen year old girl.
"Goodmorning, Asher. Pancakes?" Doreen greeted me with a smile. God, why is she so fake? Make up, hair, and outfit done at seven am even though she's a stay at home Mom. "No thanks, i'll pick something up on the way to school" i lied, i wouldn't, and she knew i wouldn't. I eat one meal a day, dinner, my meds make me naseaous and even though i need to eat, my apetite isn't there, and i just don't want to. "Claire, let's go!" i yelled as she grabbed her bag and ran to my truck. I drive a old red broken down piece of shit ford, the best my "rich" parents could do for me. The drive was silent, i dropped Claire off at the middle school, and then drove ten minutes down the road to my highschool.
I sat in the parking lot, dreading this moment. As i saw the rest of the students file into the school i decided it was time for me to do the same. I emerged from my car, grabbed my bag and walked in. Just like any other highschool, the hallways were jam packed, wall to wall students and lockers filling each hallway. I picked up my schedule from the front office and made my way to locker 345 i put in the combonation, and put my books in. I made my way to my first class, Government.      Dwelling on the fact that i hate the government, and having to take a class on it was going to just be fan-freaking-tastic, i sat in the back corner where the two walls meet. i peered to the front of the class room, where a girl sat, her friends surrounded her seemed to be whispering about something. She soon turned around to glance at me, and her friends giggled as her face turned bright red. Who was this girl? Why did her friends take such an interest in me?
