Sometimes what is seen, cannot be unseen.
That's what I tell myself everyday when it flashes in my mind.
Flashback
"Get up!" a voice I know too well, barked.
I ran to my parent's room to see what was happening. But I wish I hadn't. I opened the door and it creaked open. I saw two figures, my mom and dad.My mom was in a corner hugging her body, looking pale and frightened. On the other hand, my dad was in the center was red and sweaty. And the scary part? My father was pointing a gun at her.
My heart dropped."Dad?" My voice quivered in fear.
He spun around and his jaw hardened when he saw me, standing there.I thought he would drop the gun. But, he did something worse. He pointed the gun at me.
"Get out." he mumbled. I wanted to. I just couldn't leave my mother there.
"No." I muttered, almost regretting my answer.
"No? Did you just say no?" Father then tossed the gun at me and told me two words.
"Kill her." I gaped. No way was I going to shoot her. I shook my head.
"Do it, or you die." This made me switch my decision instantly. I love my mom, but I come first.
I pointed the gun at her and she shrieked. 'I'm sorry' I mouthed. Surprisingly I wasn't afraid. I felt, calm.
I aimed the gun and pulled the trigger . "I'll never forgive you." Were her final words before she collapsed to the ground.
My heart wasn't broken. Instead, it felt warm and filled with joy.
"Good girl." Father said before he took a glance at my now lifeless mother before heading out to the den.
Flashback over
