Gin's POV:

I awoke to the sound of Koneko telling me to wake up. I opened my duo neon eyes to see Koneko sitting above my face. I sat up and she moved to my night table.

" Finally! I have been trying to get you up for the past half-hour! You seriously are a heavy sleeper," Koneko meows to me.

" Sorry Koneko, I guess I am still getting used to a full night of sleep. What time is it?" I ask, throwing off my black and red striped comforter and standing up, stretching.

" It is about seven in the morning. The owl outside wants to come in and dry off til the rain outside stops," says Koneko, walking to the window to look.

I raise my hand and the window opens, the said owl flies in and lands on one of the many perches around my bedroom. I walked to bathroom to take a shower before school, which takes a while with the length of hair I have.

When I was done, I walked back into my bedroom to see Koneko and the owl exchanging news. I went to my wardrobe to grab my red and black dress (see cover pic). I put on a nude strapless bra and matching panties, then slipped into my dress. I walked over to my mirrored vanity table and added my roses to show my neon blue eye but hide my neon purple eye. I lined my eyes in smudged black to make them stand out even more, put mascara on my eyelashes and clear lip gloss on my lips.

I walked out of my bedroom and to my small kitchen. I made myself some rice and eggs for breakfast. I put some special dry food I made in a bowl for Koneko and the owl. I ate my food and put the dirty dishes in to sink.

" Koneko, come have some food! Bring the owl with you, there's enough for both you!" I yell to Koneko and the owl, still in my bedroom.

Koneko and the owl came and ate while I looked out the window to check the weather.

" Looks like the rain died down. It's just foggy out, so its safe for you to head back to your nest," I say to the owl, who was eating some of the food.

" Thank you Miss Gin. You are very kind to let me stay til the rain died down," says the owl, bowing down.

"Its no problem sir. I know what's it like to be stuck during rain." I smiled and nodded.

I cleaned up the dishes, grabbed my bag and opened the door. I saw that I was correct about the rain and let the Owl leave first, waving to him. I let Koneko crawl onto my shoulder, hiding slightly in my hair and closed/locked my door. I jogged to school, sighing as I did so.

'Not ready to hear the girlish squeals and screams, but have to deal with it,' walking through the school gate.
