I stood nervously in front of dozens of people, most of them around my age. Belle had already introduced us to her distant cousins. Belle, who was now talking to a blonde girl who looked about the same age as us. Will and I were on our own.
Belle had two siblings, an older brother named Thomas, and a younger sister named Samantha. They were both mingling with their cousins as well
A girl with very curly dark hair came up to us, smiling. "Bonjour," she said. It was obvious that she didn't know much French. We later learned that it was the only French word she knew. "I'm Roxanne," she said. "How are you liking Great Britain?"
"It's nice here. We had to learn English before we came," Will said slowly. He was still learning. Today though, he can speak it fluently. We both can now.
Roxanne laughed. "We were supposed to learn French before you guys came." Belle's distant family wanted to fit in with us. That was a nice thought. "Dominique, Louis, Victoire, and Teddy know it best though," she said, pointing out the people as she said their names. I remembered Teddy because of his vibrant cyan coloured hair.
She started showing us around, introducing us to people. We were at her grandparent's home, a place they called 'the Burrow.' There were a lot of people to remember the names of, only a few of them stuck at that time. I know their names now, but at that time I remembered Fleur, because she was from France, and Belle spoke of her often. I remembered Teddy, because of his ever-changing hair. I remembered Ginny and Ron, and Lily, Rose, and Hugo, because their flaming red hair reminded me of my mother's hair. I remembered Freddie, because he was Roxanne's brother, and I couldn't help but think that he was cute. And I remembered Victoire, Dominique, and Louis, because they were all part French and blonde, and I had actually met them before, because they sometimes came to Belle's house at the same time we were there.
There are so many Weasley's, that I still don't know how I managed to remember them all eventually.
