Preparing For The King

"How much cleaning does the stable need? We have been working 16 hours everyday for the past week." Complained Percy to his mom.
"Well the king is coming in two days! So stop complaining. Now go and wash Ruby." said his mother in an annoyed voice. Percy walked through the horses stables each one had the horses name and were their orgin is from. "Glade, Stone, Snowfire, Frost, Sidian, Saphire, Romis, Ruby." Percy wishpered under his breath as he read the names of the horses. They had alot more horses then that of course but Ruby and the other horses he had past were the best trained along with some others. He took Ruby out and walked her to the washing area. Percy turned on the hose and started to wash Ruby with warm water. She kicked the wall when the water got to hot. Then percy took out the sponge and washed her with soap. Then he rinsed her and let her out in the sun to dry. After about 40 minutes of letting Ruby in the sun Percy took her to the stable and decided to wash the other horses as well. Percy was busy with the horses while Finnick was busy with the horse supplies. His hands were tired of making saddles and banging on metal making horse armor. "Mom can Percy make the armor for one day I have blisters sizes you won't belive."
"Im sorry Finn but no."
Finnick sighed as he went to the store for more leather. He also bought food for the horses and horse shoes. Finnick also decided to buy a treat for himself: a cup of hot melted chocolate with strawberries. It had been a long time since his mother had made that. He finnished his treat and went to go set up the supplies and the store. Both brothers worked all day. They would also work all day tommorow before the kings arival.
