Over the next three days Jamie and Tyler spent their days with the Cromwell's. Both my parents and Nicholi's parents decided it was best that they got to know who they'd be living with when they were turned.

From word of Nic, his father and Tyler bonded immediately as they shared many common interests. Jamie was still introverted in means of trying to open up to Anne. I knew it'd be harder for Jamie since she had two loving parents, whether adopted or not. Tyler on the other hand had an awful upbringing with his father so having a father-figure that was good to him was a gift of many.

Today though we would be dropping Jamie off at her parents. Carlisle took the time to withdraw a half of a pint of blood from her and then put her under so he could go to work on her 'wounds' that she supposedly gotten during the incident.

I watched from the doorway as he used a scalpel and medical tools to open up a few points here and there and then re-stitched them. After he was finished he gave her a strong sedative and some pain killers and then bandaged up the wounds.

"She is ready to go." Carlisle said as he tossed his gloves into a metal garbage can with the rest of the bloody used medical supplies. He then lifted it up and carried it out back before he dumped some clear liquid in it and lit a fire.

"Let's get her home." My father said as he lifted her into his arms and headed out to the water garage.

My mother and I joined her and we were soon on our way to the marina. Once we docked at the marina my father carried her to the suburban and we headed on our way to 1188 Puget Sound way.

Jamie's parents were both doctors who worked in the hospital with my grandfather and father. They were both unable to reproduce on their own so they adopted children and raised them until they were able adults. All their children were gone and in colleges except for Jamie who was the baby of the 8 children they had.

When we pulled up outside their large home I looked around the grounds. Their home was a beautiful colonial style brick home that rested up on a high point hill with a beautiful view of Puget Sound waters.

Once my father shut off the car he retrieved Jamie from the back seat while my mother grabbed her suitcase. I quickly followed as we headed up to the front door. Before we could ring the doorbell the front door opened.

"Grace." My mother greeted.

Grace stepped aside and allowed us to pass into their home.

"How is she?" Grace asked as she followed closely behind my father. "Her bedroom is just past the kitchen, right through that door." She said.

My father carried her to her room and laid her in her bed before rejoining us in the kitchen where Grace was making tea.

"She is in a lot of pain but the doctor prescribed her some good pain pills so she has been asleep since we entered the states." My father said.

"Where is Tyler?" Grace asked.

"He's at home resting." My mother responded. "He's been stressing about Jamie's injuries." She paused.

"I saw it happen. She was just wading through the waves, the water was barely at her thigh and then a wave swooped in and knocked her down. Then just seconds later another wave came and it pulled her in the undertow. She didn't come up for air."

Grace gasped, bringing her hand to her mouth.

"Tyler jumped up and went into the water and almost was pulled under himself but he managed to get her and pull her out. Tyler ripped off his shirt to help staunch the bleeding while my father did CPR. She came to and was screaming from-"
