"School went well today," Victoria spoke softly to Chloe, "Nobody seemed to think I was bitchy, like I normally am." The blonde wiped a tear from her eye and let a smile rest upon her lips. "You always thought my bitchiness was sexy. Oh how I love you, Chloe."

"Nathan called Courtney out for being a total ass today; you should've been there. It was gold!" Victoria laughed, wincing as her lungs felt the cold rushing through. A breath of cold fog came out of the blonde's lips every time she exhaled.

Victoria was now used to the silence of her girlfriend; the past few dates had been silence. She could tell Chloe was happy, though. She could sense it in the warmth of the air around her.

Chloe's happiness is what kept Victoria warm in the harsh winter weather. Many had told her that it wasn't worth it to see Chloe in these weather conditions, but she ignored them; fuck the haters, as Hayden would say.

"How are you doing, babe? I hope well." No response. Victoria went on, "I know you always like it when I use the word babe. I know I used to hate it, but through these past few weeks I've been learning to love it."

Victoria twirled a withered rose around in her hands, focusing on the shriveled petals. "I got you this," she started, "I know it's dead and all, but it's hard to get fresh flowers that last this season."

Victoria felt her phone vibrate in her coat pocket and she huffed; she told everyone not to disturb her when out on dates. She saw it was Nathan. "I'm sorry Chlo, I've gotta take this. See you later?"

The blonde laid the rose on the ground beside Chloe, wiping away the now flowing tears. "I love you so much." She blew a kiss, "Au revoir."

She walked away from the chiseled grey rock that Victoria had made herself acquainted with, now that Chloe was buried beneath it, and away from the large field of graves. She answered Nathan's call, walking silently into the cold.
