More time passed as each side roped in more members in an all-out war.

Yan Liwei and Zhurong Fen joined the Emperor's Circle, along with the Bird King and Queen (Liwei's parents). Feng Yuexia joined as well, seeking 'redemption through merit'.

Then the Floral Deity and her sister, Qin Yuelian, joined their circles, and so did the Weaver Deity, the Night Deity, and a few others.

But though the enemies had failed to control the Fate and Night deities, they also had some troublesome deities on their side...

The Wood deity and River deity were holding mortal lives ransom. The rivers were running dry, and plants were shrivelling up, no matter how much rain the East Sea King sent pouring down.

The Thunder deity unleashed endless thunder storms, rumbling the land, and the Earth deity brought quakes, avalanches, and general destruction.

The plague deity released endless plagues.

The Shadow deity, in charge of all gateways and seals to the shadow realm, let out a multitude of demons into Sky Realm and the Mortal realm.

And then the Fox Queen and Princess went around causing as much chaos and destruction as they could. They used their powerful Charm and Trance techniques to tempt and twist the minds of mortals into lust and greed which led to multiple conflicts.

It wasn't long before most immortals realized their foolishness as it became clearer and clearer which side was good, and which was bad.

But it was too late.

The enemies already had a firm hold and had become much more blatant, going as far as attacking and killing several High Immortals right in their homes.

The Circle was swift to retaliate, and within a year, the enemies who had dared to reveal their identities, were nearly wiped out.

Bailong, enraged by the attacks on the Mortal realm, was inventing seals, talismans, and formations at near impossible speeds. Soon, the demons were largely pushed back, with Bailong reinforcing the seals of each Shadow Realm gateway or crack, ensuring the most powerful of them could never enter the Mortal realm.

The lower-ranked deities led thousands of Immortals through the Mortal realm, each batch in charge of easing the drought and famine caused by the war, and each bearing several dan of Bailong's flag formations which when planted, could bypass the River deity's control, ensuring a steady supply of water near the rivers.

Tianlong and Feng Yuexia led Sky soldiers to eliminate the loose demons left behind.

Yan Liwei went after the Shadow deity, an ancient immortal who had long turned dark. This immortal had absorbed and used the power of faceless and void demons to kill and absorb fellow Immortals, and he now sat two stages into the Universal Tier, higher than Liwei's level.

But armed with multiple 'tricks' from Bailong, and the 'Heavenly Sunfire' technique unique to phoenixes, it was a little too easy for Liwei to trap him and burn him into non-existence.

After that, she went after the plague deity, an ancient snake and ruler of the Snake Clan.

Meanwhile, Yin Shuilong sought out the River deity and eventually defeated her, bringing the rivers back to life.

The Wood Deity found herself cornered by the old Floral Deity. She defeated and killed the aged Floral deity, but Zhurong Fen and Qin Yuelian eventually stepped in and defeated her, bringing the forests back to life.

The Fox Queen and her daughter were eventually blocked by the War deity, an equally ancient Fox, though younger than the Queen.

"You traitor! You dare go against your Queen?!" The Fox Queen thundered. "Do you think you can harm me? I alone am enough to destroy you, yet you came to face me and my daughter?"
