Chapter 117

P.O.V/ Kim Stevens:

Two Months later..

We saved Jane from Draven Faust with Clara Carson's help. Debby and Jane's ancestor. Clara was the most powerful witch we've ever met. She looked exactly like Debby but was Jane's height and had her eyes. We vanquished Draven; Kelly and Macy appeared. Kelly grabbed the potion vial containing Jane's life-force. Debby threatened her to give it back, and they left.

Debby released the life force from the vial, and it returned to the body. But Jane didn't wake up right away. Debby sobbed as she spoke so sweetly to Jane. Her voice quivering, "Momma loves you so much, baby.. so, so much. I'm so proud of you—of the woman you've become. You're successful, intelligent, and... without a doubt, beautiful. The day you were born, my whole world changed. Thirty years... It's such a long time... and I just want you to have thirty more."

Her voice still echoes in my mind. We cried as we watched Debby beg Jane to wake up. She finally woke up, and they had a tearful reunion. Jane was shook up, she said she was scared. Jane's birthday was a success. Nicole and Eric had spent the night with Jason's dad.

Everyone had a good time, but Jane drank a lot. We were alone in the upstairs bathroom of her house while everyone else was downstairs. She kissed me out of the blue and wanted more, but I politely turned her down, then told her she had enough to drink. She was giggly and accepted that I wasn't into it.

We returned downstairs, where she flirted with me and Shana. Debby noticed how drunk she was, and by then it was just Jane, Jason, Debby, Jack, Shana, Jacob, Jesse, Brandon, Terri, Don, Kyle, Mom, and me. Debby and I helped Jane upstairs and put her to bed. We talked and realized Jane was more shook up than we thought after what happened with Draven.

I only told Kyle and Jason that Jane had come onto me in the bathroom because she was wasted. I didn't tell anyone else cause I didn't want to embarrass her more than she was already gonna be. I haven't told her about it either.

Today is Monday, September 8, 1997; Jane has been a little withdrawn lately. That's not her, she's very sociable. But we understand that what happened with Draven was scary. To be honest, she hasn't talked about it and doesn't seem to want to, so nobody has pushed her. We don't know what happened or where she was when her life force was out of her body. Something tells me it wasn't good.

I'm at the Cafe with K.J. and Dakota. We just finished eating, now we're chatting. I notice Frank Fratelli standing on the sidewalk in front of the Cafe. At first, I thought he was waiting for the bus, but it passed by, and he was still there. I keep watching him, suspicious of what he's doing.

I realized I wasn't listening to Dakota talk. I look at her, she smiles, "Daydreaming?" I say, " Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but Frank is here." They look over at him. Dakota picks up her Mountain Dew, takes a drink, then says, " I wonder what that little creep is doing here?" I say, " That's what I'm wondering." K.J. says, " Isn't he the warlock that sent you guys to Limbo?" I say, " Yes, and he's attracted to Debby." They make a grossed-out expression. Dakota says, " Debby's old enough to be his mother." I say, " Yeah, creepy."

He starts walking down the sidewalk. I see him turn and go down the sidewalk leading to the parking garage underneath the Café. I say, " I'll be right back." I stand up and walk over to the concrete balcony. I pull out my cellphone, open it, and hold it up to my ear as if I'm using it. I peer down at the sidewalk. Frank is standing there as a blue 1997 Nissan Skyline pulls up. A white man in his mid-thirties is the driver. Frank pulls off a backpack and hands it to the man.
