Chapter One: The Interview

Maddie's POV

I stood backstage, I was at an interview with my boyfriend Harry Styles and his band members. That question was asked once more. "So boys. Who has a girlfriend in the group?" The interviewer asked. "I do." Harry said. "So do I." Louis said. "Me too." Liam said. Niall just sat there. I felt bad for him. He didn't have a girlfriend. I looked at my phone. I got a text from my friend Abby.

A: Hey

M: Hi

A: Wanna come shopping?

M: I can't I'm at an interview with the guys

A: Oh yeah I keep forgetting your Harry Styles girlfriend

M: I only tell you that four times a day everyday

A: Ok well, bye!

M: Bye.

I shut off my phone I didn't listen to anything they where saying anymore until I heard Harry say my name. I choked on the water I was drinking. "Why don't we have her come out here?" The interviewer asked. "Sure why not. I'll go get her." Harry said. I heard him come up from behind me. He covered the mic he was wearing. "Put on a mic and come on stage Maddie." He said. I groaned. "Do I have too?" I asked turning to face him. He nodded. "But my hair looks like shit." I said. "No it doesn't." He said. "At least let me get ready." I said. "Okay." He replied. I brushed the knots out of my hair and put on some blush. I grabbed one of the mic clip things and walked on stage with Harry. There was no where to sit except for next to Niall. I sighed and sat down next to him. "So Maddie how long have you and Harry been dating?" The interviewer asked. "Four months." I said. "Well then you must know the boys very well." She said. I nodded. "So out of all of them who is your best friend." The interviewer whose name was Miley asked. "Well I'd have to say I get along really well with Niall." I replied. "So is there some type of connection between you guys?" Miley asked. "Not really I mean uh.." I had no clue what to say because I felt a cold hand on my back. I figured it was Niall's. "There isn't really a uh.." I stopped again. I looked at Niall. I mouthed a 'stop' to him. "Well there isn't any special connection between us. I'd say we are just really good friends." I said. Niall sighed.

Niall's POV

"Friends." I hated that word when it came to me and Maddie. I really liked her but Harry stole her from me before I could get the chance to ask her out. I sighed. "Is something wrong Niall?" Miley asked. "Nope just thinking." I said. "What about?" She asked. "About myself and... Maddie." I whispered her name and covered my mic. "I'm sorry yourself and who?" Maddie asked. "Look I like you Maddie." I blurted. I covered my mouth immediately after. "No sorry what I meant to say is I like you as a friend." I quickly said...
