Song: Let me Down Easy- Sheppard
Sage's POV:
"Peyton, get up! I've told you a million times, and we are going to be late! Same for you, James!" I yelled. Peyton and James were the worst morning people in history. We had exactly twenty minutes until home room, and we had a ten minute drive. On Sunday, after a long night of movies and laughing at Coen's, we all decided to just crash there and I'd take everyone to school the next day in my hippie van. Yes, my hippie van. I got it for my seventeenth birthday three months ago and I am in love. I've been wanting one since I was thirteen, and I finally got it. Thank you, parents.
"Give me my blanket back, James!"
"I'm cooold. Jordan took mine last night."
"I don't care. Give it back."
"No."
"Jaaaaammessss!"
"Peeeeyyyyy!"
"Okay, shut up, both of you. You guys need to get up anyway. I have a Spanish test first period and I don't want to miss it. Now hurry up!" I stopped Peyton and James' bickering before they started using death threats. Which happens quite often actually.
Twelve minutes later, after lots of yelling and complaining, everyone was piling into the van. Luckily we all kept spare clothes in my van just in case. There would've been no way we all would've gotten to school on time. Another ten minutes and we arrived in front of our horrid high school. We all piled out of the van and ran inside just as the bell rang for home room. We went our separate ways, Jordan and I to Mr. Hendershot, Peyton to Mrs. Jagelski, and Coen and James to Ms. Wilson. Homeroom and Spanish were the only classes I didn't have with Peyton. We had four other classes with Jordan and all five of us were in the other three classes together.
"Oh, look who it is, Sad and Joke. Hope you both had a nice weekend. How's Pathetic? Still pathetic?" Tess and her groupies started laughing at her lame joke. Jordan and I just rolled our eyes at the stupid nicknames and kept walking to our seats. Tess always does this, tries to make us feel horrible about ourselves. This is the part of Tess that James has never seen. If only he knew.
After a five minute homeroom, the bell rang, signaling first period, and Jordan and I headed to Spanish. Peyton, James, and Coen had French instead of Spanish because they didn't want to take a third year of it and wanted to learn French instead. I had wanted to take French, but I had always struggled in Spanish so I figured French would be even more challenging.
We sat through a dreadful test, which was very difficult for us since Coen kept taking our stuff when we tried to study yesterday. After Spanish we met up with Peyton and headed to English. After English we had Biology ll and then Band with Coen. After band Coen went to find James while Jordan, Peyton and I headed to our lockers to get our lunches that Coen's mom so kindly made for us. After getting our lunches we started walking to the cafeteria, but only to have our path blocked by Tess and her groupies. Fantastic.
"Well, if it isn't the loser trio, Sad, Joke, and Pathetic. What do you have there? Looks good, could I have some?" Tess says and grabs Peyton's lunch.
"Hey! Give me my lunch, Tess," Peyton yells and reaches for her lunch, only to be pushed back by one of Tess' friends. I think her name was Gabby.
"I don't think so. I forgot mine, and I don't have any money. Plus this turkey sandwich looks pretty good."
"Come on, Tess, just give her the lunch. It's your own fault you don't have anything for yourself," said Jordan and I nodded. Tess just laughs.
