Hey guys! I'm sorry it's been so long since my last update! I'm going to try and update more often :-) enjoy! Lotto xxx p.s I have just updated the ending to this part to make it more realistic XD
That marks the end of my happiness. The visions of her lifeless body still haunt me to this day. Of course, Jamie didn't leave this world straight away but I think it was inevitable that it was going to happen. The murderer wasn't exactly gentle while fulfilling their task.
I dialled 112 straight away and the ambulance arrived. I tried to put a blanket over her to stem some of the blood she was losing. I knew she was still alive at this point but for how long, nobody knew. She was still unconscious from the blow to her in head. Probably a good thing to be honest because the wound looked incredibly painful.
The paramedics rushed in in a crazy manner, not paying any attention to me. They put various different drips into her and hooked up many machines to monitor her at every second. They asked me what had happened and I explained, clearly flustered at the event. One woman with red hair and brown eyes sat me on the sofa and gave me an oxygen mask to wear in an attempt to calm me down. The person left the house as soon as they stabbed Jamie. They dropped her to the floor and she collapsed violently, hitting the hard laminate floor of the lounge with a thud. I cringed as I grabbed a stick used for the piñata and got up. Pain shot through my shoulder but I didn't care. I sprinted after the intruder with as much speed as I could muster, shouting and yelling. Unfortunately, my running skills were not enough and I lost him as soon as I got out of the lounge.
I started shouting to the paramedics what happened. The nodded and smiled saying 'it's all right son' but nothing was was it? They were too busy attaching drips and goodness knows what to Jamie to think about the truth behind it all. She was in a very serious condition to be fair.
I sat in the back of the ambulance, silent. The paramedics had made her condition stable which relieved me hugely. The paramedic in charge of watching Jamie and keeping her stable was trying very hard to get me to cheer up. It was quite odd really. She kept smiling a cheesy grin and going 'cheer up love she's going to be absolutely fine'. Fine? How can someone who has just been stabbed in the chest be fine? It was a stupid exercise because nothing was going to cheer me up at all at that moment in time. What was this woman expecting?
So I sat there; hunched over, staring blankly at Jamie's body, shrugging occasionally whenever the paramedic spoke to me. I couldn't help thinking how lucky it was that Jamie was still alive. Apparently, the intruder had just skimmed her heart when they stabbed her, according to the ECG results. In a way, it filled me with a bit of hope.
When we got to the hospital, all the paramedics rushed into the back of the ambulance and hauled Jamie's bed into the parking bay. They all ran into the hospital as she was still critical. I legged it after them, not wanting to lose sight of my friend which could be the last time I ever see her again. However, the creepy smiling woman stopped me. After spying me with my arm hugging my chest after I smashed my right shoulder on the floor in the fight, she decided 'it may be best to get that checked out young man'. She could see the despondency in my eyes as I watched the others push Jamie away through some double door at the other end of A&E.
I sighed as she led me into a small room at the side of the A&E waiting room. I sat down on a chair in front of a large wooden desk, covered in papers.
'Someone will be here shortly. Can I get you a drink or something?'
A drink? After everything that just happened and she's asking if I want a drink? Can she get anymore annoying?
So I declined as politely as I could muster and she left, closing the door behind her.
About 15 minutes later, a nurse came into the room. She apologised for the delay and set about her desk arranging some paper. Then, she set to examining my shoulder. Poking and prodding. Moving my arm this way and that. She soon gave me the all clear and I left with complete and utter silence. The moment I stepped out the door, it hit me. Flashbacks of the events that occurred only about an hour ago. Suddenly, I find myself unable to breathe, unable to see through the tears in my eyes. My legs turn to jelly and I just manage to lean against a doorframe in time before they gave way completely. The hidden face of the intruder flashes violently in my mind as I put my head in my hands and quietly gasp for air. I must have sat like that for about fifteen minutes but I wasn't really aware of what was going on to notice. I knew people were walking past me, people were watching me and I was quite glad that no one spoke to me.
