Meeting the new inmate

The row was quiet as the sun began to rise. Ken walked over to Mark smiling "hey mark I heard we are getting a new inmate today" ken said standing next to the raven haired man. "Really what is his name" mark asked looking to the bearded man "the file said his name is Sean McLoughlin but the officers bringing him in say he prefers Jack" ken replied and mark nodded.

Mark was sitting at the desk at the end of the row writing stuff down when two officers brought a man into the room. The man was calm and was looking down at the ground, his hair was slightly grey, mark looked at the officers and he said "I'm assuming this is Sean." The man in handcuffs calmly said, he had no attitude in his voice, with an Irish accent "I prefer jack" suddenly one of the officers smacked jack and yell "he didn't ask what you prefer" and he was about to smack him again until mark grabbed the officer's hand. "This man is under my supervision until he is put in the chair, and while he is here you will not raise a hand to him" mark said "do you understand" the officer pulled his hand out of mark's grasp and nodded. Once jack was in his cell mark looked at the officers " what exactly is he here for" he asked. The one officer sighed and calmly said "he is accused of killing his six year old daughter."
