I move my body to the beat, making sure to grind my hips into the random guy I'm dancing with. I'm intoxicated with who knows what. I downed just about anything that was in reach. The club's speakers burst out Animals by Martin Garrix. Nights like these are what I live for, with all the shit that's been going on in life, it dissolves with every drink I drank, with every inhale I inhaled of ecstasy. I check the time on my phone, it reads 2:27am. I should probably settle down, and head home soon. My mom gave me until 3, and a max of 4 drinks, so I really need to water myself down before she finds out I got completely and utterly drunk, not to mention I'm pretty high at the moment. I walk off the dance floor, and go to the bar, seating myself on a stool.

"And what would you like?" the bar boy says, clearly not interested.

"Hey if you don't want my money, I can just go to a different bar." I snap at him.

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know I was supposed to act like I cared about a girl who won't remember me the next time she wakes up."

"God, sounds like someone has a poor love life." but bar boy just sighs, asking me what I would like.

"A water...actually make that 3." He bends down under the counter and grabs 3 water bottles.

I look at them in disgust, "Cold please." I give him my most fake smile ever. He just rolls his eyes and complies.

"So how come you aren't as...well crazy as all the other intoxicated sluts?" He asks me while I chug the first water bottle.

"First of all, I'm not a slut, second of all, I'm past that crazy stage, and now I'm in that I-hate-everybody stage." he chuckles before helping another customer. After I finish, I make my way into the bathroom. I cup my hands, filling them with sink water, and repeatedly rinsing my face. I look into the mirror, and see a monster staring back at me. I have dark circles under my eyes, my eyes are light pink, but I don't doubt they were bloodshot earlier, and my face looks like a clown shit on it. I internally laugh at my appearance, before removing my makeup and applying a new layer. I grab my pocketbook off the sink counter, and go into a stall to relieve myself of all the alcohol and water I drank tonight. I smooth out my deep red, body-fitting dress, and leave the stall. Once I was finished, I check the time. 2:48 am. I dial my mom's number, and wait for her to answer.

"Hello? Is everything okay? Are you hurt? Did-" I cut her off.

"I'm fine mom, but some friends are doing fireworks at the park, can I go?"

"Sure honey, just be safe and don't get caught on fire...or pregnant." I can practically see her smirk through the phone. My mom and I have always been cool, especially since it's just the two of us. She's like an 18 year-old stuck in a 40 year-old's body. But she can be strict at times, it's for the best.

"Are you high?" she asks. I don't know how she can sense that through the phone but...

"No, no," I lie, "just utterly drunk." hopefully that will help her believe me, because if she found out I smoked a joint, I would never leave the house until the day she dies. No, three days after she dies. Yeah, that sounds more like her.

"Ugh, I said no more than four! But what's done is done, just don't do anything stupid."

"Have I ever?"

"Remember when you broke your bed?"

"Ok, ok. Point taken." I remove the phone from my cheek to hang up, but she speaks before I can.

"Sweety, do you remember those self defense classes you took?"

"Yeah," I scoff, "when I was 8."

"Yes, yes, those ones, put them to good use, and if not, just use a kick to the di-."

"MOM!" I scolded her playfully, "I love you." I hang up, shaking my head with an idiotic smile on my face. She has quite the sense of humor that others may not find funny, but I think she's absolutely hilarious. I don't know what I'd do without her. I leave the bar, and head towards the local park.

On my way, I hear footsteps behind me. I immediately go into panic mode, and shove my hands into my jacket pockets, my right hand instantly wrapping around my pepper spray, ready for use. The sound gets closer, their sneakers scuffing against the sidewalk, making me anxious. The stranger passes me, and walks ahead. I let out a shaky breath, low enough so the guy doesn't hear. But as if I jinxed it, a rough hand covers my mouth.

Not even a millisecond passes before my attack-mode turns on. Without thinking, I stomp on his foot, since he's behind me. He grunts, but his grip only tightens around my mouth. I whimper in pain as he wraps arms around me, forcefully pushing me onto the concrete sidewalk. I feel a bruise forming on my right hip. He's cradles me from behind, keeping me down, not removing his hand. It sounds like he's pulling something out of his pocket, this is my last chance before it's over. I use all my strength to roll myself over, flipping him as well. I immediately bring my fist to his chin, pain shooting through my arm. My punch, if you can even call it that, barely left a scratch on him. With all my raging anger, I bring it back up to strike again, but something grabs my elbow. I look over my shoulder, and see the guy who passed me earlier. Suddenly, I realize he was the distraction so this guy under me, could attack. I try to rip my right arm out of his cold hand, but he swiftly brings a needle to my neck, and injects me with some drug.

My whole world crumbles down, and tears flow down my cheeks without end as blackness takes over.
