Crystal's POV:
I close the door to my new room, sighing as I lean against the wooden door. I walk over to a box with all my plants and other decorations in it, pulling out my baby cacti and placing it on the windowsill. I place a small bird skull next to it, as well as a tiny Buddha statue. I pull out my posters and a mint tin that is filled with push pins. I hang up one from a scientific museum, as well as band posters like Nirvana, Dead Kennedys, Rancid, Hole, Minor Threat, and Social Distortion. I place my blue floral backpack on the floor, kicking off my shoes as well. I hear a knock on the door, making me jump. "Come in," I say, shoving my clothes down into my drawers. It's my older brother, Eric. He listens to the same music as I do, which is kinda nice. He introduced me to punk music actually. My brother is a year older than me. I'm sixteen, and he's seventeen. "What's up man?" I ask, closing my dresser drawers. "Mom is making us go to some block party down the street. I say we ditch it and go somewhere cool." He says, leaning on the door frame. "Ugh, do we have to? I'm really tired." I groan, flopping onto my bed. He sits on the edge, sighing. "Why don't we go to this block party and meet our neighbors. Maybe we can fuck shit up down there." He says. I smile. "Fine. I'll only go to fuck shit up." I laugh. I pull my shoes back on and follow my brother out, walking downstairs and to the front door. "Yo ma, we're gonna be at the block party! See you in a little bit!" My brother yells. We walk through the front door, closing it behind us. I follow Eric down the street, and I can already hear people laughing and yelling, as well as music playing. When we get closer, I notice that all the songs are pop songs from about five years ago, and every curse word has been filled in with appropriate words. "Is this...kids bop?" I say, almost gagging on my words. "It is," my brother says, almost wincing at the thought. I see a group of kids about my age, and they all swarm over. "Hi, welcome to our town!" The parents say that have followed their kids over chirp. They have fake smiles plastered on their faces, which pisses me off more then them not smiling at all. "Hey, I'm Eric and this is my younger sister Crystal. We just moved in down the street." My brother says. As he's talking a bee almost flies into my ear, freaking me out. "Jesus Christ!" I yell, ducking and hiding behind my brother. Everyone in earshot falls silent, giving me the deadliest stare I've ever received in my life. "We do not take the lords name in vein young lady!" One of the moms yells. "I'm not a lady, and I didn't mean to 'take the lords name in vein'. Sorry." I say rolling my eyes. "Don't roll your eyes at me! We do not tolerate this behavior! Apologize at once!" She wails. "You know what? Fuck no! I'm not going to apologize again! I'll curse all I want and I'll roll my eyes as I please! Fuck you and your rules, you aren't my mother, and I won't respect you if you won't respect me. Good day, and fuck off!" I yell, running down the road the opposite way. I come to a dead end, and see a large lake. I walk over to it, sighing as I sit down. I look over to see a boy with wavy brown hair and brown eyes sitting down next to me. He has a super strong jawline, a cute nose, and perfect lips. I stare at him in awe, so much so he noticed it through my sunglasses. "Do I have something on my face?" He asks, wiping his mouth with the back of his sleeve. "Does hotness count?" I ask, making him blush. "Well, I'm Josh. Sorry about my mom. She's kinda crazy sometimes." He says. "That thing gave birth to you? Who did she fuck to make you so hot?" I snort. "I don't know. My dad left before I was born," he says, chocking a bit. "Oh my god. I'm so sorry. I-I didn't mean to-" "It's okay. It isn't your fault. Just forget about it alright?" He says. "Do you...want a hug?" I ask, stretching out my arms. He pulls me into one, grabbing my shirt as he squeezes me. I do the same, smiling at the feeling. I haven't been hugged by someone that wasn't family in a while. We pull away from each other, laughing awkwardly. "I'm Crystal by the way. Nice to meet you Josh." I say smiling. I pull off my sunglasses and place them onto the grass, looking out onto the water. "Can you swim in there?" I ask, looking around the area. "Yeah. Me and my family do all the time." He says, laying back on the grass. "Cool." I say, beginning to pull my shirt off. "What are you doing?!" He gasps, quickly sitting up. "I'm gonna go swimming. These clothes cost a good amount of money. My bra and underwear don't." I say, laying my shirt next to my sunglasses.Josh's POV:
She pulls off her pants, revealing long pale legs. My heart beat picks up as she turns to me and holds out a hand. "Want to go swimming with me?" She asks. I scope out the area, making sure no one was coming through. The way to the road is covered with trees, making it hard to see in. I get up and start unbuttoning my shirt, pulling it off so my bare chest was out in the open. I take off my shoes and socks, placing them next to my shirt. I quickly pull off my pants and throw them on top of my shirt, only in my boxers. Crystal is already knee deep in the lake, splashing around in the clear water. I walk towards edge of the lake, goose bumps all over my body. I am almost naked. In a lake. With a girl. I'm not even supposed to see a girl this close to naked until I'm married, when we are about to make love for the first time. My mom avoids the beach for vacation because it's "shameful" how those women dress. I snap out of my thoughts and realize I'm waist deep in water. Crystal splashes me with water, giggling as she skims the top and flicks the droplets onto my face. I splash her back, soaking her hair. "You dick!" She says, quickly wading towards me. I turn to run, but it's to late. She tackles me and we both go under. We both come up, laughing in our soggy clothes. "Fuck!" Crystal yells, jumping backwards. She bumps into me, making me fall. I grab her as I'm going down, both of us going under again. We both come up coughing and gasping for air, not expecting to go under for a second time. "What was it?" I ask, wiping water out of my eyes. "Bee. I'm allergic to 'em." She says, holding onto me for support. "So Crystal, I'm assuming you aren't Christian?" I ask, wiping sweat off of my upper lip. "I'm a Buddhist. Why?" She says, using her hand to shade her eyes. "I was wondering if you wanted to go to church with me tomorrow? It's always boring and you're pretty fun." I say awkwardly. "Why not? My family is going tomorrow anyway. Well, more like my mom is forcing me and my brother to go. I don't think she'll mind if I sit with you." She says. I smile, starting to walk out of the water. "Well, I should probably get home. My brother is gonna be worried about me." She says, starting to put her clothes back on. I do the same, staring at her the whole time. "Thing is, I don't know how to get home from here. I live on Arizona Drive. Walk me home?" She asks, pulling her shoes on. "Well, seeing as I live on that street too, I'll walk you home." I say smiling. She smiles back at me, sticking out her hand. I take it, pulling her along towards our street. We get there in about ten minutes, stopping in front of her house. "See you at church tomorrow," she says hugging me. As she pulls away she kisses my cheek, making me blush. "See you there," I say smiling. She walks onto her porch and opens the front door, walking in and closing it behind her. I walk down the street towards my house, thinking of an excuse to make up so I won't get in trouble with my mom.Eric's POV:
I hear the door close downstairs, meaning that Crystal is home. I walk down the stairs to see her plop down on the couch, wet hair and tired eyes. "Where have you been?" I ask, sitting down on the couch next to her. "Down at the lake." She says, turning on the TV. "Did you go into the lake?" I ask, staring at the TV as she flips through the channels. "Yep." She says, putting on some cop show. "Was anyone with you?" I ask, starting to sound like our mother. "I was with Josh." She says plainly. "Who's Josh?" I ask, starting to get over protective. "Relax. He's really nice. And Christian. No sex before marriage, remember?" She says laughing.~~~~~
A/N: Hello everyone! This story is a little different than what I usually like, but that's okay. I would like to let you guys know that the outfits at the top are what she's wearing. It's important because the little Christian children can't choose their own clothing and she can, so when they are picking on her and talking about her clothes, I'm gonna make you look at the photo cause I'm to lazy to describe it. That is all.
~peace out
