"Hello I'm Nico Di Angelo. I once lived a mostly tame life living on the streets of New York City homeless with my half-sister Hazel until a certain being -or should I say monster- convinced me to make a contract with him. I decided to write this down in a attempt to warn others about this vile beast. I could start this story when I made a contract with Kyubey but in order for this to make sense we have to start even earlier.
-An unknown time back-
I was walking down an alley in New York City trying to find a trash can with food and not having much luck. The sky was pink, orange and purple from the sunset indicating I should probably try to find my way back to hazel and the refrigerator box we called home. When I was an infant a mysterious illness had inflicted my mother Maria and my older sister Bianca overcoming both of them thus only my father Hades (whom I have no idea why his name was so strange.) and I were the only ones left. By the time I was two my father had remarried a woman named Marie and the two had a little girl named Hazel. My father was often away on business trips so I didn't see him much. One day Hades and Marie went to somewhere close to where we lived in a car. Hazel and I expected them to come back as I was 10 and she was almost 9 but they never came back so the two of us decided to run away before any adults could find us and up until now we lived on the streets rummaging for food in trash cans and making shelters out of refrigerator boxes.
I continued to keep walking until something bizarre happened. The alley I was walking on disappeared and dozens of tiny hideous monsters started circling me in such a way I knew they wanted to kill me or at least harm me pretty badly. When they started getting closer I pushed them with all might managing to get away with only a few cuts and scrapes. I began to run for my life terror sinking in as I realized that I probably wasn't going to get out of this lair of sorts alive. Before I knew it a door appeared out of what seemed to be nothing, black smoke coming out of the door. I knew whatever was behind that door wasn't good but at the same time the tiny monsters had followed me and the door looked like my only escape from them. I did the logical thing: I went through the door.
As I closed the door I heard the scuttling of very large feet on the floor and gulped hoping the beast wouldn't notice me. I hid behind a large and safe looking structure waiting for the hideous beast to walk away. As just my luck it noticed me hiding the structure and started scuttling its disgusting feet towards me. it got closer and I could see its fangs dripping with what appeared to be saliva or poison, it had three eyes bulging out of its head and its supposedly scales were a horrid shade of green that sent shivers down my spine. Accidentally catching its attention I gulped knowing I was no match for the beast. Its large fangs came closer and I tensed up expecting the worst.
Suddenly out of nowhere came two heroes; one boy and one girl. The boy plunged his sword towards the beast his cape flowing behind him and his silky hair flowed in harmony with his cape. He continued to attack the beast as the girl came towards me with a white cat/ferret creature on her shoulder. "Are you ok? The girl asked, she had blonde hair that was pulled into a ponytail and fierce grey eyes. "I'm fine." I reply to the girl. "That's good, my name is Annabeth." She responded. "And my name's Kyubey." Said the white cat creature. "Kyubey? I ask in curiosity. "Yes, Kyubey. judging by your ability to stay alive in this Witch's labyrinth would you like me to grant you a wish in return for becoming a magical boy and fighting witches?" "I don't..." Annabeth cut me off. "now Kyubey give this poor boy a chance. He nearly died for crying out loud." "I agree." The boy replied. "Well my name's Percy." "Wow." I replied pretty much speechless. Percy was even more handsome up close. He had seagreen eyes that seemed to sparkle in the light and silky ebony hair that was tousled multiple ways, in other words he was drop dead gorgeous. "I have an idea." Percy announced. "why don't me and Annabeth tutor this young boy in what it's like to be a magical boy." "that's a great idea Percy." Annabeth responded. "That way he has a chance to make up his mind about what his wish will be as well as get some practice." "So how does that sound?" Percy asked me. "great!" I responded with glee, the most handsome boy was inviting me to spend time with him, I felt overjoyed. "then it's settled!" Percy enthusiastically said looking at Annabeth and Kyubey. "We'll meet here at this alley tomorrow at five then." "Ok!" I replied happily. "I gotta go now. meet you tomorrow!"
I happily ran home realizing how late it was. Percy was gonna teach me how to be a magical boy just like him. I wanted nothing but but to be a hero just like him and I was gonna get that chance.
Author's note: I hope you enjoyed this chapter! critique is desired as I'm just a amateur author doing this for fun. I hope to have the next chapter up by next week. Have a nice day! :)
