"beep...beep...beep...beep" the alarm blared like any other day only this time it was different. any other day the girl under the covers would have let it beep until it just got to be too loud. but today was different. she opened her eyes to reveal bright green orbs so young and full of life. she lifted the covers and sat up on her bed as she streached her arms out wide. a smile was on her face that could have brightened the darkest of rooms. she silenced the alarm and walked over to her mirror and with a smug look she said to the green eyed girl looking back at her

"today is going to be great"

"mom when are we getting there?"

"honey, we just left the house 10 minuites ago" her mother replied slightly stressed of the journey ahead.

" I know, but I can't wait to see grandma and grandpa"

her mother smiled at her daughter she was 13 years old and it seemed as if this girl would never grow old and see the cruelty of the world. she gave a strained look over to her husband as a secret seemed to pass between them. she looked back at her daughter who sat back in her seat her soft dark brown curls covering part of her face her chin rested on the base of her palm and her elbow rested of the inside handle of the car as she looked out the window a look of sheer joy and amazment in her bright green eyes. her mother's eyebrows knitted as she contemplated on how to go about telling her daughter the news that would surely damper their stay.

"Anya, honey...." her mother said still a bit uncirtain on how to go about things.

"yes mom?" she asked turning her green eyes to face her mothers brown onea.

her eyebrows scrunched up as she thought things over. but there wasn't anything to soften the blow she was about to give.

"uncle johnny is going to be there at grandma's I don't want you disrespecting him or getting to close to him for that matter" she said unsteady at first but then it settled into its usual tone.

the moment his name was spoken Anya suddley felt angry she.couldnt do this there wasn't anything she could do to keep her anger down she hated the man. he was her uncle only because he was her.mothers brother but that didn't mean he deserved the tittle. she was angry now if she had known she wouldn't have come but now its too late she has to be here all summer and there is no way if saving her from all the anger that was boiling inside of her and if she saw him she knew she.would expload and not even Mt. Vesuvius could rival what she would say to that no good scumbag uncle of hers. she swam in all her hate just hating him more and more by the second her green eyes no longer bright but dark and full if hate.

"he just needs to die someday.... it would do everyone a favor..." she bitterly thought and as soon as that thought cam in it was forgotten for she spotted the entrance to her grandmothers large farm. he stomach churned with excitment and anger. the golden hills seemed to shine more and more gold the closser they got to the white farm house with the red porch swing which she spent so many summers in her grandmas arms as she told her stories. happiness swelled in her chest as she remembered all the hot laughter fillked nights but then she saw something and as soon as that happiness came it was gone. she saw him. Johnny.....
