''The kids will be happy to see you, Mr. Sparks,'' the principle said.

My heart stopped as I heard the name.
Jace Sparks.
There in the library was Jace Spark laughing with the little kids and speaking all about his life journey. Peaking though the small opening of the ajar door he still looked as good as he once did. After all it been so many years and my heart was still pounding so fast at the sight of him. I wanted to take a closer look yet I force myself to let go of the door handle. Stepping away, and turning my back against it. Letting my hand fall of the door handle. He was my past and he was going to stay there.

"Ms. Spears, aren't you leaving earlier then usually,''Mrs Irwin said. I was a part time librarian at this elementary school sometimes I stay longer then usually. But today I can't even go and get my purse because the other librarian didn't inform me that she was going to invite a guest speaker today. Shoot, my keys are in my purse and Ace is getting of school soon. I needed to call Lucca to pick up Ace today since I can't leave the school building quite yet.

"No, I remember I still have to do something ,'' I answer. Mrs. Irwin was in her late twenties like me. With blue eyes and blond hair she was beautiful in her summer dress. Standing next to her made me seem like a little kid.

"Haven't you seen the guest speaker today. So handsome!" she exclaim.

"Oh really! I haven't seen who came in today,'' I lied. She nod in understanding as she told me bye before leaving me in the staff lunch room. I have two more hours to go until the school is out for the day.

Finally the day end as I stepped out of the staff room and the entire school was silent now. Some teachers were still here and all the kids were gone. It was a Friday so everyone was rushing home. Pushing open the library door making sure that he was gone for sure I stepped into the room rushing behind the main desk to grab my purse. I thought I heard a door open and close maybe Mrs.Lillian or the other Librarian.

"How was the guest speaker?'' I ask without turning to face her. Stuffing some books into my bag. Yet, there was no answer.

"Ara--" my mouth clam shut as I turn to see who the person actually was. My books drop onto the floor. Standing in front of me wasn't Mrs.Lilian but Jace Sparks. Jace.

"How long are you gonna stare?'' he said making me realize that I was staring indeed. Quickly looking down I bent down to pick up my books making sure that my purse was in my hand.

"I'm sorry, the school is closing. I'm sure you know where the exit is,'' I said quickly starting to stand back up again. Starting to walk round the desk wanting to get of this room as soon as possible.

"Scare to be in the same space as me,'' he said. Halting me in my steps as I turn to look at him. And dammit he was still so gorgeous, lean and tall. His broad shoulder making his t-shirt tight against his body. Today, he wasn't in his suit but in his normal clothing which made him mark his body with all those muscle.

"I don't know where you're talking about, Mr. Sparks,'' I said. He flinch at my use of his last name instead as he stare at me. Standing my ground as I spoke to him. I should be professional as I can be telling myself over and over again.

"I think I lost my wallet in here,'' he finally said sighing. That why he came back I thought to myself. Slowly, letting my stuff on one of the tables. I walked over to where I saw him sitting before no wallet was insight.

"Can you help me?'' he ask. I sigh as he ask nicely starting to search with him.

"Did you go anywhere else?'' I ask.

"No, I was only in here,'' he said. Maybe Mrs.Lilian knows, she could of have pick it up.

"I think the other Librarian could of have pick it up,'' I said.

"Maybe,'' he said. For someone that lost his wallet, Jace was pretty calm and relax.

"Sir, I really have to leave,'' I said. I really have to go to Ace.

"So formal, Lynn,'' he gritted though his teeth. As finally for the first time I lift my eyes to meet his eyes. Brown to blue. Yet, it was no longer the ocean warm blue eyes I love anymore. It was cold and so much hatred in them.

"It the only way I can speak to you now,'' I said not letting my eyes stray. As he took a step closer and another we were breaths away from touching.

He laugh dryly,'' My mother died in your hands and that all you can say.'' It was my turn to flinch at his words as I felt my eyes starting to water.

"I don't know what you are talking about,'' I said. Suddenly, his hands were on my shoulder shaking me.

"Don't put on a act in front of me. You call my mother into our house that night,'' he said. Shaking my head I didn't want to look at him.

Hearing the door to the library open Jace roughly let of me as I quickly wiped my tears away.

"Mr. Spark and Ms. Spears, what are you both still doing here,'' Mrs. Lilian said.

"Ms. Spears, here was helping me find my wallet,'' Jace said as he pull out a wallet that I never help him find.
