A new year a new day..

This story is about a girl who's mother died and her dad was a alcoholic he died 2 years ago.. It is just her and her maid Paige she lives in a very big house and is super rich. Her maid has been keeping a letter from her for years as her mother gave it to her before she died and said to give it to Elda in her eighteenth birthday. today is the first day at her new school her old school shut down so she had to move for her last year here is how it went..

"
Great first day and I'm already late.. PAIGE!!" I yell "I can't find my blazer!" I panic.
"Here miss Elda.." She say as she hands it to me with my school bag "thanks.." I say and run out the door towards my car I start it up and drive quickly I turn the radio on and it doesn't work I roll my eyes and turn it off I then pull around to the school parking lot I get out the car chuck my blazer on grab my school bag and slam the door shut. My hair is tied back neat into a tight pony tail and make up very soft and natural. I walk into the school ground and I get a lot of looks. I just ignore them and walks into the school grounds I drop my phone and a crowd of people looks at me but don't do anything I quickly pick it up and continue to walk trying to find my locker number "125.. 125.. Here!" I open it and it is as clean as anything I put my books in their and my phone in my pocket. I put my bag in their and hang up my schedule "my first class today was... History.. With Mrs Coinman" I say quietly. The bell rings and I grab my textbooks for history and head to the class with a folder and a book the folder has my stationary in it and many empty slots for loose papers. I open the door and am just in time people were just taking their seats we have assigned seats I was sat next a girl with long flowing brown hair she has glasses on and no braces she wasn't a nerd.. Well maybe she was.. The teacher marked the roll and had trouble saying my name "um... El- Ella?" She stutted. "it's Elda.." I say the whole class looks at me. "Right sorry Elda.." She says slowly. During marking the roll I found the girls name was Scarlett and she kept smiling at me during the lesson I just focus and listen to the boring words that came out of her mouth she then said "Open your textbooks to page 45 I will need a reader how about.. Alex" A tall boy with blond hair he looked like one of the football players here I wonder if that's true I guess I'll find out sooner or later.. He began reading and was shaky at some points of it. Mrs Coinman eventually stopped him she then said "I will now pick another reader... How about you Elda" my eyes widen and take a deep breath I felt like someone had just punched me in the stomach I begin to read "the first fleet came to Australia in the.." The year it said on my book was completely scratched out and coloured over I raised my hand "my book doesn't say the year.." The class looked at me again the teacher came over to me and examined my book she look at it strange. The bell rang shortly after that and asks for me to stay behind for a bit before first break. "Can I please see your book.." She asks. I nod and hand it to her "I'll give you a new one and we can re-read over that part tomorrow" I smile and nod and head out the door I have no idea why we are studding about the first fleet that is like year 3 work.. But whatever at least it's easy.. I head over to my locker again and put my books back I head to the cafeteria and it's crowded I got here at the worst time suddenly I see a group of girls staring at me and then Scarlett waves to me I smile and get my food the food they sold wasn't that bad but it was all healthy I just got a chicken sand which that looked like all the colour had been washed out of it a water and an apple I headed over to Scarlett and gave a disgusted look to the popular girls I am pretty sure they were saying stuff about me but its Highschool.. It happens.
"Who does she think she is!" Said Victoria. "Just ignore it.. But I totally saw her staring at my boyfriend in the lunch line.." Said Kendall annoyed. I couldn't hear what they were saying but I just had a feeling they were talking about me. "Hi!" Said Scarlett and her friend Harriet in a really exited voice. I reply "hi I'm Elda.." I introduce my self. Scarlett replies quickly with "I'm Scarlett and this is my friend Harriet I'm 17 turning 18 next week and Harriet is already 18!!" She said super fast I didn't hear a Peep out of Harriet.
I nod and say "I'm 17 turning 18 in 3 weeks.." I said.
I catch Alex looking at me and I blush a little Scarlett says "ohh... Looks like someone has a crush..who is it?!" She asks calmly. "Fine.. There's this boy in our history class called Alexander Remember he read and stuffed up some of the words a bit.." I say slowly.
Scarlett's mouth drops and then she starts whispering "No.. That's Kendall's boyfriend.. You can't like him.." . "Who the hell his Kendall?!" I say a bit loud.
"Shhh!!!! She's one of the most popular girls in school.." Said Scarlett. I roll my eyes "what ever it's not like she will destroy me.." I said. "Elda.." She continues "She will do anything in her power to ruin your life if you don't stay away from him.." She says with a concerned face. "I'm not scared of her.." I said. The bell rings and it's time for our next period I check my schedule and I have art the best subject ever.. And who do I have it with.. Alex.. And Kendall. I look at my phone and get a text from Paige saying "how's school?" She shouldn't be mentioning that right now I will tell her when I get home. I walk to my Art class and I see Kendall kissing Alex and he is pushing her away he looks at me.I just roll my eyes and walk over to a table I have class with none of my friends lucky their are individual tables.. I take a seat and wait for the teacher a canvas and paint brush's and paint are in front of us the rest of the class comes in and finally Kendall takes a seat.. Next to me! I ignore her and wait for the teacher to come in she just gives me looks her make-up is heavy and her hair looks fake. She has green eyes and blond hair and is pretty dumb.Alex takes a seat next to some guy I don't know. The teacher walks in "good afternoon class.." He says "I'm Mr Reats and I will be taking you for art for the rest of the year.. As you know their are art supplies in front of you which implies we are painting today.. But before we start painting we will be sketching it onto the canvas. We will be drawing portraits of our selfs and I have some pictures of you all" he hands them out to all of us. "I want you to think of a style you would do in your painting weather it be flicks weather it be smudging or whatever you want you have an hour and get started.." He said with a passion.
I look at my photo and it's the photo from our student ID cards which were taken at the very start of the year before we started school. I look down and started sketching it turned out really well I raised my hand and said "I'm finished sketching Sir.." We have to say that we go to a private school. Kendall looks at my sketch and then looks at her in disappointment "great we can use your as an example!" He said. I smile and look at Kendall as I hand my portrait to the teacher he starts blabbering about painting while the rest of the class finish up sketching. He hands it back to be and says "Next lesson we will start painting.. Thank you!" The bell rings and I stand up and walk out the door but shortly after I get stopped by Kendall "Great job with your portrait.." She says "Um thanks?.."  I say Confused and raise an eyebrow. She lean close towards my ear and whisper "Stay away from Alex.." She whisper. I look at her and say "your not the boss of me and I won't listen to you.. I'm not scared of you I bet you look like a monster if you do or don't have a boat load of makeup on but that monster doesn't scare me..." I turn and walk towards my locker and left her at a temper Alexander saw this and when Kendall went outside for Lunch he came over to my locker I didn't notice this and put my books and took my blazer off and put it in their I shut my locker and see Alex leaning on the other lockers he smiles at me. I look at him with a strait face and turn away he grab my hand "wait!" and I make a quick escape to the girls bathroom. I look in the mirror and fix my hair "ugh! Tomorrow I'm just wearing my hair down.." I say annoyed. I think about what Alex wanted to tell me. I walk out of the girls bathroom trying to hide my face from Alex when I walk outside he looks at me and looks down he is playing football with all of his friends and Kendall is cheering on the sidelines even though it's not a game.
I was a lot shorter than Alex. I went over to Scarlett and pulled out my phone and asked for her number so we can text after school I put it in my phone. I couldn't help but look at Alex Scarlett kept telling me not to but I did anyway. Kendall glared at me and I texted Paige back saying 'Good I'll tell you all about it when I get home..' I send it. The bell rings and it's the last class of the day this time I had class with Alex , Scarlett and Victoria. Victoria is like Kendall's little spy.. She will do anything to be at the top of the popularity charts. I had Maths.. This is the class I am great in because I'm smart. When I was walking back I tried to hide my face I went to my locker and grabbed my folder I took my textbook and headed to the classroom with Scarlett she asks me "what's wrong?..". "I'm trying to hide from Alex.." I say softly and quietly. Alex comes in late I took a seat next to Scarlett and their was a spear one next to me. The teacher asks where he his and I say nothing Victoria glares at me but I ignore it. Alex finally comes and he sits next to me he apologises to the teacher and I just look strait forward I can see him looking at me from the corner of my eye. She tells us that this lesson we will be going over what we learnt a long time ago which would be fractions. We went over that and she asked us a few questions mostly to me I answer them all correctly all of the class kept looking at me I smile at Victoria. The bell rings and I stand up so does the rest of the class the teacher wanted me to stay behind for a bit I was hoping that Alex would go. Once everyone leaves including Kendall and her little minions. The teacher suggests to me that I join the maths club I look at her and deny. She nod and smile and says "it's an option..your very smart you know.." I nod and smile and walk out the door. Alex is there I look at him and rolls my eyes "what do you want?.." I ask. He looks at me and smiles "I want to talk to you about before.." He says. "before?.." I ask and raise an eyebrow. "When Kendall was talking to you I heard the whole thing no one has ever talked to her like that.." He said. "She can't tell me what to do... She's not a princess.. She doesn't scare me.." I said.
"I think that's awesome" said Alexander. I turn away and he grabs my hand "why do you keep doing that?.. I thought you had a girlfriend who wears way to much makeup and has a ugly personality." I calm down. "I am going to dump Kendall ever since I saw you in History this morning I fell in love with you.." Said Alex. Before he can say anything else I take my hand out of his and walk away quickly to my locker and get my stuff I then go to my car chuck my stuff in their and I see him walking to his car. I dive away quick and make sure he wasn't following me I turned into my street and open the door to my mansion Paige is there and I hug her I have never done that before. She take my bag and my blazer and I tell her all about what just happened "he told me he loved me.. It's only been a day!" I yell a bit. She listens and then I head upstairs to my room I get a text from an unknown number I ignore it and flop on my bed I get changed out of my school clothes and into black shorts and a rose gold singlet. I look at the text and it's from Alex I'm sorta glad he texted me because I had nothing to do he asks 'can I ring?' .I respond. 'Fine..' He rings me and it's dead silent he talks first "hi.." I reply 'hey.. How did you get my number?...'. 'Scarlett gave it to me he replied. I thought 'Scarlett really?!!'. "Okay..". "
I just want to let you know I broke up with Kendall.. And now I don't have to worry about her anymore which is great!" He says Happy. Paige calls me down for dinner. "Who's that?.." He asks. "It's just my maid.. I have to go I'll see you at school tomorrow bye Alex.." I said "okay by Elda.." He said and hung up.
I head down stairs and Paige cooked my favourite meal to make me feel better I sit down and smile at her "thank you.." I say and start eating after I ate I was feeling extremely tired so I got in the shower and then once I came out and was dressed I got into bed and turned my TV on and watched TV until I fell asleep.
